Allegro will soon launch in Hungary — as we announced, the new marketplace will be available by the end of 2024. Check the main differences between the Polish and the Hungarian marketplace.
How allegro.hu will work
As with other foreign marketplaces, our key rule is: list once — sell everywhere. That is why you do not need to create a new account or list your offers again. You can manage your sales, prices, and payouts in all foreign marketplaces just like on allegro.pl — with the help of tools you know well and use daily.

Sales on allegro.hu will only be possible on a business account
If you sell on a regular account, you will not be able to share offers on allegro.hu. Check how to switch to a business account.
To start selling on allegro.hu, add delivery options to Hungary to your shipping price lists. Take advantage of our agreements with carriers trusted by Hungarian customers.
How you can manage your offers
In the My Assortment tab, you can find options that help you manage offers on allegro.pl and in the foreign marketplaces — including allegro.hu.
If you want to submit an offer for sharing on allegro.hu — all you need to do is add to it a delivery option to Hungary. If you submit an offer that does not meet all the allegro.hu requirements — we will suggest what to correct.
You can manage your offers on allegro.hu also through the API
The Allegro API is ready for managing foreign marketplaces. If you use external apps to manage sales on Allegro and do not see the option to manage foreign marketplaces — contact the service provider and ask them to enable that option.
You already ship to Hungary?
If you had active offers on allegro.pl in which buyers could order shipping to Hungary — brilliant! From those offers, we will select the ones that meet the requirements for sharing in foreign marketplaces. We will display them to buyers on the new domain on its launch day.
We want to make your start on allegro.hu easier and that is why we have added to those offers:
- automatic Hungarian translations
- a launch price expressed in forints rounded up to end with 0 or 5 — we have calculated it based on the price you provided in zlotys and the data published on August 28, 2024, by the European Central Bank (1 PLN = 91.4819 HUF)
- information about the commercial warranty that only applies to Hungarian buyers — if you sell products in selected categories and their price exceeds 10,000 HUF. We will only display it in offers for which that warranty type is required by Hungarian law.
We have enabled the Price Converter in your offers submitted for sharing on allegro.hu. It allows you to update prices in sales currencies with one click in the My Assortment tab. See how it works.
All prices in HUF — those based on the Price Converter and those entered manually — are rounded to the multiples of 5 HUF. This makes them compatible with market standards and denominations available for that currency.
In addition, if you enabled the following delivery options to Hungary, we have set their prices in HUF on a one-time basis:
- Allegro DPD Courier Hungary — 1,390 HUF
- Allegro DHL Courier Hungary — 1,390 HUF
- Hungary — own agreement — we have converted the price you set in PLN (based on the data of August 26, 2024, published by the European Central Bank)
- Email delivery — Hungary — that delivery option is free.
You can edit the prices of delivery options in your shipping price lists in Delivery Settings. You can set a different price or use our Currency Calculator.
From now on, you can also add the following payment on delivery options to Hungary to your shipping price lists:
- Allegro DPD Courier Hungary payment on delivery
- Hungary — international delivery under your own agreement with payment on delivery.
Return of uncollected parcels for 1 PLN
The data from our foreign marketplaces shows that buyers who shop there are less likely to return products than buyers on allegro.pl. Even if a buyer from Hungary fails to collect an order — we will cover a significant portion of the return cost. You will only pay a symbolic amount of 90 HUF, which equals around 1 PLN. Learn more.
How it will affect your sales quality
We will also account for your activity in the Hungarian marketplace in the My Sales Quality dashboard — we will sum up the scores from all the marketplaces.
For the first couple of weeks after launching allegro.hu, we will not account for the sales ratings and recommendations from buyers from that marketplace in your statistics. It will allow you to start selling on allegro.hu without having to worry about negative opinions from new customers. We will let you know before we start accounting for ratings from buyers on allegro.hu in your recommendations percentage, the average sales rating, and the My Sales Quality dashboard.
In the Timely responses and Average response time metrics, we do not calculate the response time on public holidays — according to the Polish holiday calendar. The holiday calendar of the Hungarian marketplace will only apply to sellers who register their accounts on allegro.hu.
Add all the necessary information to your offers
Offers on allegro.hu must meet certain requirements that slightly differ from those on allegro.pl. That means we may not share some of the offers in which you added delivery to Hungary on allegro.hu. We will check the offers you submit and let you know what you should add or correct.
How you will pay out sales funds on allegro.hu
You can add a separate bank account number for payouts. If you add an account number held in Hungary — that is with a Hungarian IBAN — you will pay out forints (HUF) without currency conversion. After we verify your account, you can assign it to payouts in that currency in the Payout Settings tab in the Payout Settings HUF section.
Use the Currency Converter if you want to pay forints out to a bank account held outside Hungary
The Currency Converter will allow you to conveniently convert forints into the currency of your bank account — for example, into zlotys. That way, you do not need to pay additional currency conversion costs or bank fees. You can pay the money out to an active Polish bank account for payouts.
What you can do now
- Check if any specific legal obligations apply to you. Before you introduce products on the Hungarian market, make sure you meet all the requirements. Pay particular attention to waste, packaging, and recycling regulations.
- Learn what legal obligations you need to meet before you sell certain products — like supplements or medical devices — in Hungary.
- If you do not ship to Hungary yet, add to your shipping price lists at least one of the delivery options to that country:
- Allegro DPD Courier Hungary
- Allegro DPD Courier Hungary payment on delivery
- Allegro DHL Courier Hungary
- Hungary — international delivery under your own agreement
- Hungary — international delivery under your own agreement with payment on delivery.
- Email delivery to Hungary.
- In relevant tabs, provide separate Returns Terms and Complaints Terms for allegro.hu that comply with the Hungarian sales regulations. Make sure you include their Hungarian translations. If you want to, you can use our automatic translations — check them and, if necessary, make changes.
- In Hungary, a commercial warranty is mandatory for certain products. The Hungarian law also specifies its duration — it depends on product price and type. If you share offers with such products on allegro.hu, Hungarian buyers will see warranty information compliant with Hungarian regulations — we will adapt it based on the offer price and category. Check the product groups specified in the Hungarian regulations — download their list in English. Based on that list, we will soon prepare a detailed list of Allegro categories to which the mandatory commercial warranty can apply. We will let you know about it in the News regarding the launch of allegro.hu. We will display the altered warranty terms only on allegro.hu and will only apply them to buyers from that marketplace. Warranty terms for other marketplaces will remain the same — based on what you provide in the Warranty Information tab.
Example
- You list an offer in the Electronics category on allegro.pl. You assign to it warranty terms in which you offer a 1-year warranty as a seller.
- Later, you share the same offer on allegro.cz, allegro.sk, and allegro.hu.
- The price of that offer on allegro.hu exceeds 250,000 HUF. Based on the offer price and category, we estimate that, according to Hungarian law, the commercial warranty should be 3 years.
- As a result, buyers:
- on allegro.hu — will see in that offer information about a 3-year warranty, according to Hungarian law
- on allegro.pl — will see in that offer information about a 1-year warranty, according to what you specified in the Warranty Information tab
- on allegro.cz and allegro.sk — will see information about a 1-year warranty in that offer, according to the information from the original offer on allegro.pl.
All you need to do is link such a shipping price list to an offer — and we will add to it:
- automatic Hungarian translations
- Price Converter as the default pricing rule — it will allow us to determine the offer price in forints (HUF) based on your price in zlotys and the data published by the European Central Bank
- information about the commercial warranty that only applies to Hungarian buyers — if you sell products in selected categories and their price exceeds 10,000 HUF. We will only display it in offers for which that warranty type is required by Hungarian law.
