Linking offers to the Catalog
What the Allegro Product Catalog is
In the Allegro Product Catalog, we gather information on products that sellers list in their offers.
Offers on Allegro are listed by different sellers, but many of them include the same products. Offers can differ in price and sales policy, but basic information about the product, for example, the manufacturer and brand, is the same.
In the Allegro Product Catalog, we gather information about products, such as parameters, photos, and descriptions, that are included in sellers' offers. We differentiate products by parameters such as Brand, Model, Manufacturer Code, and the GTIN (the EAN code). You can see what products we have in the Catalog when you list an offer using the form, a file, or the Allegro API.
Thanks to the data from the Catalog, buyers can find what they are looking for faster and compare all available offers more easily. We provide all the information about a product and make it simple to compare the sales policies of different sellers.
It can also help sellers a lot — you will spend less time on preparing and listing offers. This allows you to focus on increasing your competitiveness in areas like sales policy and service quality.
Example
There are offers of the same TV model from multiple sellers. We group them all under one product based on the GTIN (the EAN code). The buyer can see a product list in the search results that matches the searched phrase. Then, the buyer goes to the list of all offers from different sellers with the same product and chooses the offer that best suits their needs.
What you can gain with the Allegro Product Catalog
- You can reduce the time of listing offers through the listing form by up to 50%, because we automatically complete the parameters, pictures, and description for you.
- You can list offers more easily — when you enter the product's GTIN (the EAN code), you download the complete product data from the Catalog. You do not need to take professional pictures of the product or create descriptions. All you need to do is set your sales policy and delivery options.
- Buyers who use the product list are more likely to add products to their carts and buy them more often.
- Buyers can find products they are looking for more quickly — on each page of the list with sales results, we display 4 times more products on average. As a result, buyers have access to a wider assortment and can reach offers from all sellers with the same product more easily.
- It gives you more time to manage your sales. We have found that customers use the Ask a question option 6 times less often in offers linked to the Catalog.
How you can impact the Allegro Product Catalog
- You can create your own products and add them to the Catalog. All you need to do is provide the correct basic parameters of a product when listing an offer.
- You can report errors in product parameters and monitor your reports in the Product changes requests tab.

How we improve links between offers and products
In specific cases, we can unlink your offers from the product in the Catalog. Check what you can do then.
We want our customers to be sure that your offer concerns the exact product they are looking for. If your offers are incorrectly linked to the product from the Catalog, we can automatically unlink them.
When we can terminate the offer
If we unlink your offers from the product, we will automatically terminate them 7 days later. It applies only to the offers you list in specific categories. We will notify you about the termination of offers.
What we check before we unlink the product from the offer
We take into account whether:
- the name of the product is similar to the offer title
- the product parameters in your offer comply with the information from the Allegro Product Catalog. You can find the product parameters in the Basic parameters section of the listing form.
- the GTINs (for example, EAN, ISBN, ISSN) are correct
- the product image in the offer is similar to the product image in the Catalog
- the product and offer categories are in a set of similar categories.
We will inform you by email if we unlink the product from your offers. In the email, you will find the link to the My Assortment tab. Click it and check the list of offers we unlinked from the product.
What next
In selected categories, we try to automatically link the unlinked offers with the correct product from the Catalog. That method works only when the offer has all the Basic parameters completed. Thanks to them, we can recognize the product.
How to link the offers with the product from the Catalog
- Go to the listing form. In the product search engine, enter the GTIN (EAN) or describe briefly what you are planning to sell. Then, we will display selected products.
- If the product we offer has the same parameters as the item you want to sell — select it.
- We will automatically complete the Basic parameters section in your offer with the details of the product from the Catalog. Thanks to that, you will spend less time preparing your offer.
How to add a new product to the Catalog
If, in the search engine, you cannot find the product that matches your item, you can add a new product to the Catalog. To do that, complete the Product in offer section of the listing form.
How to report incorrect product information
If, in the Catalog, there is a product you sell, but its parameters are incorrect, request the change. You will check the change request status in the Product changes requests tab.
What happens if you do not link an offer to the product from the Allegro Product Catalog

What if your offer is not linked to the product from the Catalog
We verify all the listed offers. If your offers are not linked to the product — we will end them automatically.
We will not end the offers you list:
- in categories with unique assortment — such as Collections and Art or Handicraft — where you can create temporary products
- as classifieds in the following categories:
- Motoryzacja – Samochody (Automotive – Cars)
- Motoryzacja – Motocykle i quady (Automotive – Motorcycles and Quads)
- Motoryzacja – Maszyny (Automotive – Machinery)
- Motoryzacja – Przyczepy, naczepy (Automotive – Trailers, Semitrailers)
- Motoryzacja – Inne pojazdy i łodzie (Automotive – Other Vehicles and Boats)
- Nieruchomości (Real Estate)
- Firma i usługi – Usługi (Business and Services – Services)
- Firma i usługi – Żywe zwierzęta (Business and Services – Live Animals)
- Firma i usługi – Kursy online (Business and Services – Online courses).
What if you link an offer to the incorrect product from the Catalog
In that case, we will automatically unlink such an offer. We will let you know about it by email.
If we unlink your offers from the product — correct them. Edit the offer and select the appropriate product from the Catalog. If you do it, your offers will remain active.
Products whose details have been approved by the manufacturer or the brand owner cannot be edited. If you link your offer to such a product and we change its details, for example, the GTIN (EAN) — we will notify you by email. In that case, update the offer details in the Offer Updates tab. All you need to do is click [accept change]. You have 14 days to correct your offer. If you fail to do that, we will unlink the offer from the product and end it automatically.
In the Offer Updates tab, you can also use the automatic update. In the Automatic updates section, select enable and we will automatically confirm subsequent changes in your offers. If you want to, you can opt out of that option anytime and confirm changes yourself. Check the details.
Temporary products — what they are and how they work
Do you want to catalog your offers, but cannot complete some of the obligatory parameters, or your product is unique? In such situations, we can create temporary products. This way, you will be able to list an offer and link it to the Allegro Product Catalog.
We know that for some categories, it may be difficult to provide all the identifying parameters — for example, in the case of used products. Apart from that, some products are unique and it is not possible to create one set of parameters suitable for all products in a given category. For example, in the Figurines and Sculptures category, you can sell both garden decorations and ethnic handicrafts.
What temporary products are
- We can create temporary products for items with the condition parameter value other than New, for which you have not provided all the identifying parameters, or provided ambiguous parameter values (other/none).
- We do not link your temporary products to other offers. One temporary product is only linked to one offer.
- We will not show temporary products in the product search engine. This means other sellers will not link their offers to your temporary products.
- When we move your offer to the Allegro Archive 60 days after it ends — we will remove the temporary products from our Catalog.
How we create temporary products
We will create a temporary product when you list or edit an offer via the listing form, the API, or the List from file tab. We will use:
- the title
- the images in the gallery
- the category
- the parameters.

Reporting offers incorrectly linked to the Catalog
If you notice that an offer is incorrectly linked to the Catalog — report it to us. Check how to do that.
We are transforming Allegro into a service based on the Catalog because we want to make shopping and listing offers fast and simple. To make it possible, products must be correctly linked to the Catalog.
We monitor and remove incorrect links:
- automatically — with the use of our mechanisms
- manually — when you report an incorrectly linked offer.
How to report an incorrectly linked offer
We have made available a link that allows you to report an offer incorrectly linked to the Catalog. When you click that link, your report will reach the team in charge.
You can find the link in two places:
- below the section containing information about the seller
- on the list of offers of a given product When you hover the cursor over the image — we will display a new layer containing detailed information and the link.
