How to list offers
How to add invoice and VAT information in an offer
If you issue VAT invoices, you can inform your customers about it by selecting a relevant option in the offer form. You can also choose different VAT rates – check how.
In all the Allegro marketplaces, when listing offers through the form, you can complete the information about the offer type and product price, and you can mark that you issue invoices.
You can add the information about invoices to the newly listed and ongoing offers.
Available invoice options
In the Invoice options, you can select:
- no invoices
- VAT invoices
- VAT margin scheme invoices
- non-VAT invoices.
If you choose the VAT invoices option or your offers are subject to the eCommerce VAT package — complete the VAT rates for the selected countries as well.
If you declare the VAT rate for Poland or Czechia, we will automatically calculate the net price of the goods. Thanks to that you will see how the entered amount influences the net price. We will display the net price to entrepreneurs purchasing within Allegro Business.
If your deliveries to Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, or Hungary are subject to the eCommerce VAT package, we will calculate the tax based on the VAT rates you have declared for those countries.
How to add the information about invoices and VAT rates when listing offers
In a newly listed offer, you will add information about invoices in the listing form, in the Invoice options and VAT rates section.
- In the Invoice options field, select VAT Invoice ― if you issue VAT invoices.
- In the VAT rate fields, add the VAT rates for the product you sell. If you list an offer in several marketplaces simultaneously, you can add VAT rates for each of those marketplaces at once.
- If you use the VAT exemption, select the reason in the Base of VAT exemption field.
- In the Product offered field, determine whether you offer goods or services.
The fields above are optional by default (except for the Invoice options). However, if you select the out of scope of VAT option in the VAT rate fields ― you need to complete the Base of VAT exemption field.
The VAT rate and the eCommerce VAT package
In the case of transactions that the regulations of the eCommerce VAT package apply to — if you do not declare the VAT rate, the base of VAT exemption, and the product offered when listing the offer, we will set the following by default:
- VAT rate — basic VAT rate in Poland and/or on foreign market (for example, in Czechia)
- base of VAT exemption ― none
- product offered ― goods.
How to complete the information about invoices and VAT rates in ongoing offers
You can do it through bulk offer editing:
- Go to the My Assortment tab and select all the offers in which you want to implement the change.
- Click Sales Policy on the green bar under the list of offers. Select Other, and then Invoice options and VAT rates.
In the window we will display:
in the Set invoice options section, select VAT invoice
- In the Set VAT rates for selected countries section, select the appropriate value for the country for which you want to declare the VAT rate. This way, you can provide different VAT rates for each country.
- Finally, click [save]. Done!
You can also complete the VAT rate using the API — when listing a single offer or editing offers in bulk.
Filtering offers by VAT rate
In the My Assortment tab, you can filter offers by the VAT rate filter, with the values you enter in Invoice options and VAT rate.
The VAT rate filter works separately for each marketplace. That means if you currently sign in to the Allegro account in the Polish marketplace, the filter will work for offers with Polish VAT rates. If you switch, for example, to the Czech marketplace, you will see the VAT rates applicable in Czechia in the filter.
How to create the product description
In the listing form, you can add product images and create a description that will be displayed legibly on each device. You can also edit the layout and format the text.
The available editor allows you to create clear offer descriptions, which can be properly displayed on different devices, including mobiles. The editor is easy to use and makes it possible to enter text and images in five different layouts.
Images and description from the Allegro Product Catalog
When you link an offer to a product from the Allegro Product Catalog, we automatically suggest its title, images, description, category, and some product parameters.
Custom images
You can add images to your product description in the listing form, in the Images and description section above the description editing field. You can only upload images to the gallery from your device. You cannot add images from external websites. Images you add to the gallery should comply with the standards.
If you hold a business account — you can add up to 16 images. If you hold a regular account — you can add up to 10 images.
Infographics
You can also add infographics. You will find them in the Allegro Product Catalog. The infographics you add should comply with the rules.
Custom description in the editor
Choose the layout and length of a description. Create a description by adding subsequent lines in a selected layout.
Description layouts
Use one of the icons in the editor and select a preferable layout for a given line:
- text only
- image only
- image and text — text on the right, image on the left
- text and image — text on the left, image on the right
- two images.
More lines
To add another line, click [add another line]. You may also repeat the same line – click [duplicate line]. The duplicated line may have a different layout and content.
Line position
- remove the line
- duplicate the line
- move line up — one click to move the whole line (block) of text and/or images up in the description
- move line down — one click to move the whole line (block) of text and/or images down in the description.
Text formatting
The following options will help you format your text:
- text style (basic text, heading 1, heading 2)
- bold
- bulleted list
- numbered list
- undo
- redo.
Translations
You can translate each offer description into:
- Polish
- Czech
- Ukrainian
- Slovak
- Hungarian.
How to select the right category for a product
Learn what to consider when selecting the appropriate category. See also how and when you can change the categories of your listed products.
Why choosing the right category is important
- Category names indicate what products buyers can find in them. They make it easier for buyers to find what they are looking for.
- We determine the parameters you need to complete in your offer based on the category. This way, we can display your offers when buyers use filters. Learn more about parameters.
Is it necessary to select a category for every product
In many cases, you do not need to do it. When you enter the name or GTIN (EAN) of the product in the listing form and select one of the suggested products — we will automatically assign the correct category to your offer. If you want to change it, click [edit]. Learn more.
If you want to list a product not included in our Catalog, click [continue without selecting product] at the bottom of the page. Pick one of our suggestions or select the category manually.
How to select the right category for a product
- Choose a category that allows you to describe the product as accurately as possible using the available parameters. If you do not find one, you can list the product in the Other category.
- Make sure the name of the product fits the name of the category or other products listed in it.
- List your products in categories that are related to their intended use. Example: list massage candles in a category for candles, and not for massage equipment.
- Make sure to select the correct category when you list:
- spare parts. Example: If you are selling an oven coil, list it as a part (Electronics — Consumer Electronics and Household Appliances — Built-in Household Appliances — Parts) and not as an oven (Electronics — Consumer Electronics and Household Appliances — Built-in Household Appliances — Ovens).
- accessories. Example: If you are selling a tablet case, list it as an accessory (Electronics — Computers — Tablets — Accessories) and not as a tablet (Electronics — Computers — Tablets — Devices).

How to change the category in a listed offer
If you list an offer and later decide that the category you have chosen is inappropriate, you can change it in some cases. It will be possible if:
- 12 hours have not passed since you listed the offer
- no one has made a purchase in that offer yet.
In order to change the category:
- Find the offer in the My Assortment tab.
- Click the three dots next to that offer and select [edit].
- Go to the Category section and click Edit.
- Choose the new category and click [save] at the bottom of the page.
How to quickly list several offers
List offers with similar parameters or in a similar category – it is easy.
Do you often list similar offers? Try out offer templates
You can save default values for the selected listing form fields as an offer template. Thanks to this, we will automatically complete those fields when you are listing an offer. See how to prepare your first template.
- Complete the listing form and list one offer.
- Go to the My Assortment tab. Click the three dots located next to the selected offer and choose list similar.
- On the page with the completed listing form, make any corrections or edits and confirm listing the offers.
- Return to the My Assortment page to list the same or similar offer.
Offers shared in several marketplaces
If the original offer has been shared in another marketplace, we will copy that setting in your new offer. You can change it in the listing form before you confirm the listing.
If the original offer has pricing rules enabled for selected marketplaces, we will enable the same rules for the same marketplaces in the new offer. In the case of pricing rules based on the Price Converter, if you:
- change the price of the new offer in PLN — we will update the offer price in the currencies of other marketplaces according to the exchange rate that applies in the Price Converter at the moment of listing
- do not change the price of the new offer in PLN — the offer price in other currencies will stay the same as in the original offer. We will not recalculate the price at the current exchange rate. To do that — first uncheck and then check the Price Converter option again.
