How to activate a business account
By activating your account, you will list your first offers on Allegro! See how easy it is to activate a business account.
If you have already registered a business account, you are just a few steps away from listing your first offer.
- Verify bank account. In this step, you will set your bank account details, to which the buyers' payments will be transferred. Check the company details provided at Allegro account registration. If you need to correct them, click [change company details]. Then, confirm the new company details with the verification transfer. You can do it the following ways:
a fast online payment — enter the account number and order an online transfer. If we recognize the bank by the account number, we will redirect you to the bank’s sign-in website. If we do not recognize the bank, we will display the list of banks for you to select from.
a regular bank transfer ― if you select this option, we will display all information necessary to order a regular verification transfer. Transfer 1.00 PLN to the account number we provide you with. You can order the transfer online from your bank’s website or through a postal order.
Regardless of transfer type, following the successful account verification, we will return the transfer amount to the bank account you ordered the transfer from. You will receive a confirmation to the email address provided at account registration.
If you are a sole trader, you can order a transfer from your private bank account. After making a transfer, go to the next step.
Verify company details. You can choose between the full and simplified verification — depending on the kind of sales you plan and the type of business account you need.
Occasional sales (simplified verification) — if your business has not sold on Allegro before, or you are going to sell occasionally — up to 10 transactions per month.
Regular sales (full verification) — if you plan more transactions, you want to benefit from a fully active account without restrictions, or you plan to sell on foreign marketplaces.

Select simplified verification if:
- your business has not sold on Allegro before
- you are going to sell occasionally, which means up to 5-10 transactions per month, or your transactions do not exceed 4,000 PLN each.
With simplified verification you do not have to send documents confirming your business activity — as long as your Allegro sales fall within the above limits.
If the number of your transactions or their amount get close to the upper limits, we will inform you by email and offer you full account verification.
When you exceed the limits — we will withhold your money from sales. To be able to pay them out, you will have to complete full verification of your account.
Even if you select the simplified verification, you can always switch to full account verification. You can do it in one of the tabs: Funds and Operations history, Payout Settings or in the My Sales dashboard. There, we will display a message inviting you to complete full verification. Click [go to activation] to proceed with full account verification.
Simplified verification is not available to certain types of business activity, for example, for associations and foundations. If you run this type of business, we will redirect you to complete full verification.
If you plan to share your offers on foreign marketplaces, you need to go through the full verification of your account.
Select the full verification if you expect more transactions on your account, you want to share offers on foreign marketplaces, or the value of a single transaction will exceed 4,000 PLN. Thanks to the full verification, your account will be fully active and you will be able to sell without any limits.
Full verification requires completing business details and submitting documents. We will ask you for specific documents depending on the type of business you run. Provide the required data and attach the documents we ask you for. See which documents to send.
Once the business details are approved, your account will obtain the business account status and you will have unlimited access to all options — including the full ability to pay out money from sales to your bank account.
Set the sales policy before you list your first offer. The sales policy is important for buyers as it includes information about product returns, complaints, and warranties.
List your first offer. You can do it in 3 ways:
- through the listing form ― this is how you can list single offers fast
- from a file ― to list up to 10 thousand offers simultaneously
- through the Allegro API.

What business details are displayed in offers
The business details are publicly available by law. That is why in your offers the buyers will see:
- the business name and address (if you are a sole trader, we will also display your first and last name in the offer description)
- the business’s tax identification number (NIP)
- the number under which the business is registered in the National Court Register (KRS) or the number under which the business is entered into the Business Activity Register (CEiDG).

Account registration for Polish businesses ― what documents you need to submit
The business account registration for businesses registered in Poland may require you to send us scans of business documents. Check when you need to do that.
You can create your Allegro business account in a few steps. Check what documents we may request.
You can select the account verification process
When creating a business account, you can select a simplified or full verification of the account. The simplified verification does not require you to provide company documents, but it is not suitable for all business types and it entails specific sales limits. Learn more about it.
Why we ask you to confirm your identity
We want to make sure that all Allegro transactions are safe and in line with European law regulations. Additionally, payment operators providing services to Allegro users are legally required to verify their clients (the document available only in Polish). That is why, we ask to confirm your identity while creating a new business account.
You can confirm your identity and company details through a 2-step form you will find in the Payout Settings tab — go to the tab and click [verify company details].
In this step, depending on the type of business you create the Allegro account for, you need to provide the first and last name of: the company owner, the beneficiaries, or the representatives.
We may also ask you to provide:
- the country of birth
- citizenship
- PESEL (Polish personal ID No.)
- date of birth.
Who has to confirm their identity
All persons who are required to do so by the payment operator, have to confirm their identity. In the case of:
- sole traders — the person obliged to confirm the identity is the company owner
- other types of business activity — all representatives are obliged to confirm their identity according to the data in KRS (the Polish National Court Register).
What methods you can use to confirm identity
Standard method
It involves sending us a photo of the ID document of a person who has to confirm their identity. We ask to enter data and upload the ID photo in the form.
If you send us a photo or scan of your identity document, do not cover any elements. The picture has to include both sides with visible edges. Payment operators need the full scan or photo of your ID. It must be of good quality and in color.
Digital methods
Together with payment operators, we enable the possibility to confirm the identity online. The digital identity confirmation takes place entirely on an external website of our business partner.
Depending on the country of permanent residence that a person confirming their identity selects, they will see the available verification methods.
Photo of an ID — that method slightly differs depending on the country of permanent residence. A person willing to confirm their identity uploads a photo of both sides of their ID document and:
- a photo of their face — if their country of permanent residence is in the EEA (European Economic Area)
- a video recording of their face — if their country of permanent residence is outside the EEA.
eDO App — within that method, you can confirm your identity with the eDO App available for smartphones with an NFC module. You can use that method only if you have a Polish ID.
Moje ID — within that method, you confirm your identity using online banking. It is available only to people with documented permanent residence in Czechia and an active mojeID.cz identity confirmation service.
How to prepare for the identity confirmation with digital methods
You just need to:
- have a valid document confirming the identity
- have access to a device that allows you to take a photo of the document — for example, a smartphone or a computer with a camera (if you select the biometric verification)
- you complete all the steps we ask you to do through the messages on the verification page.

How to access the verification page
If you decide to use the digital methods, you will confirm your identity on our business partner's verification page. You can access the verification page in 2 ways — depending on whether you have access to your Allegro account or not.
If you have access to the Allegro account
When you enter your first and last name in the identity and company details confirmation form and click [save], you will see 2 tabs:
- Confirm your data — there, you will find the [go to verification] button — it will redirect you to the page where you can confirm your identity.
- Copy link — there, you will find a link to the verification page — you can copy it and save it in any form. If you have to verify your own data, you can do it any time — just click the saved link. If another person has to confirm their data — send the saved link to them.
When you do not have access to the Allegro account
You do not need access to the Allegro account. You just need the link to the verification page. If you already have it, click it to go to the page where you can confirm your identity.
How to confirm identity on the verification page
- When you enter the verification page through the form or the link, click [continue] to confirm that you want to verify your identity.
- Select the country of your birth from the drop-down list and then click [save] to go to the next step.
- Select the country of your permanent residence — click the flag of an applicable country or enter its name in the search bar.
Select the method you want to use to confirm your identity.
You will see a window with information on the required consents. Click [I accept all consents] if you agree to send your data to the operator.
- Next, follow the instructions for the selected method — that way, you will quickly complete the verification. Finally, you will get the information on where to check the verification result.
Where you will find the verification result
You can access the result of your identity verification by signing in to your Allegro business account — in the Confirm your identity and company details section. If you want to learn your verification result but do not have access to your business account, contact the person who registered the business account on Allegro.
What documents we may additionally request from you
In some cases, the payment operator may ask you to send additional company documents. Below, you will find 3 types of business activity in Poland we distinguish for account verification purposes. Click the one applicable for your company to check what documents we may ask you for.

Before you complete your business verification on Allegro, make sure that your data in Central Register of Beneficial Owners are up to date. You have to do it only if your business is obliged to report beneficiary information to CRBR.

How to activate an account and start selling if you do not run a business
Account activation is the confirmation of your registration details. It is free of charge. You can activate your account very easily in several ways.
If you do not run a business but want to sell on Allegro — you can do it only on a regular account. Register and activate a regular account. When you register, you need to activate your account – confirm the data you provided at registration. It is free of charge.
You can activate your account in 2 ways:
- Fast online transfer - select a bank from the list of available banks, and transfer 1.01 PLN to our bank account. We will activate your account within 3 business days, and return a bank transfer amount entirely to your bank account.
- Bank transfer - if your bank is not on the list of available banks, select the Przelew z innego banku (Transfer from another bank) option. Copy the transfer details, sign in to your bank account, and transfer 1.01 PLN to the bank account we provided. We will return the transfer amount entirely.
Is the business account activation the same as the regular account activation?
If you set up a regular or business account for a sole proprietorship, you activate it with your bank account. In order to activate a business account (for a different type of business), you need a business bank account.
If you are setting up a regular account, use your own bank account in the activation process.
If you are a sole trader, you can use either your own bank account or your business bank account.
If you run any other business (for example, a partnership or a company), you can use only a business bank account in the activation process.

What if you do not activate your account
Activation is free and gives you access to additional functions, including listing offers. Therefore, after registering the account, it is worth to fully activate it.
If you do not activate your Allegro account fully, you cannot list items for sale.
If you are an entrepreneur and create a business account, in some specific cases you need to submit scans or photos of documents confirming your business activity. Your account will be fully functional after activating, but keep in mind we need to verify your documents. Only when we send you an email that confirms a successful document verification will your account become a full-fledged business account.
Without activating your account, you can:
- place orders through the buy now offers and bid in auctions
- use the cart.
