Linking offers to the Catalog
What the Allegro Product Catalog is
In the Allegro Product Catalog, we gather information on products that sellers list in their offers.
Offers on Allegro are listed by different sellers, but many of them include the same products. Offers can differ in price and sales policy, but basic information about the product, for example, the manufacturer and brand, is the same.
In the Allegro Product Catalog, we gather information about products, such as parameters, photos, and descriptions, that are included in sellers' offers. We differentiate products by parameters such as Brand, Model, Manufacturer Code, and the GTIN (the EAN code). You can see what products we have in the Catalog when you list an offer using the form, a file, or the Allegro API.
Thanks to the data from the Catalog, buyers can find what they are looking for faster and compare all available offers more easily. We provide all the information about a product and make it simple to compare the sales policies of different sellers.
It can also help sellers a lot — you will spend less time on preparing and listing offers. This allows you to focus on increasing your competitiveness in areas like sales policy and service quality.
Example
There are offers of the same TV model from multiple sellers. We group them all under one product based on the GTIN (the EAN code). The buyer can see a product list in the search results that matches the searched phrase. Then, the buyer goes to the list of all offers from different sellers with the same product and chooses the offer that best suits their needs.
What you can gain with the Allegro Product Catalog
- You can reduce the time of listing offers through the listing form by up to 50%, because we automatically complete the parameters, pictures, and description for you.
- You can list offers more easily — when you enter the product's GTIN (the EAN code), you download the complete product data from the Catalog. You do not need to take professional pictures of the product or create descriptions. All you need to do is set your sales policy and delivery options.
- Buyers who use the product list are more likely to add products to their carts and buy them more often.
- Buyers can find products they are looking for more quickly — on each page of the list with sales results, we display 4 times more products on average. As a result, buyers have access to a wider assortment and can reach offers from all sellers with the same product more easily.
- It gives you more time to manage your sales. We have found that customers use the Ask a question option 6 times less often in offers linked to the Catalog.
How you can impact the Allegro Product Catalog
- You can create your own products and add them to the Catalog. All you need to do is provide the correct basic parameters of a product when listing an offer.
- You can report errors in product parameters and monitor your reports in the Product changes requests tab.

What rules apply to unlinking offers from products in the Allegro Product Catalog
In specific cases, we can unlink your offers from the product in the Catalog. Check what you can do then.
In the Allegro Product Catalog, we gather all products available on Allegro along with their edetails — such as parameters, images, or descriptions. This way, buyers can quickly find the product they ar searching for and easily compare all the offers with that product.
We regularly verify the links between offers and products to ensure their high quality. This allows us to provide buyers with clear and trustworthy information.
According to Appendix 10 to our Terms & Conditions — as the seller, you are fully responsible for correctly linking your offer to a product in the Allegro Product Catalog.
When we can unlink an offer from a product
We want buyers to be sure that your offer matches the exact product they are looking for. If your offers are incorrectly linked to a product from the Catalog, we can unlink them. We will then end your offer automatically. We will let you know about it by email.
We can unlink your offer from the Allegro Product Catalog if, among other things:
- the offer title indicates a different product than the one presented
- the basic parameters you provided in your offer differ from the product's details in the Catalog. You can check them in the Basic parameters section of the listing form.
- the photos of the goods in the offer differ from the photos of the product
- you provided a different number of units in the offer than in the product
- you offer the goods in a color version not included for that product.
We can also take into account:
- GTIN (EAN, ISBN, ISSN, or others) — a unique number that indicates the product itself and not its owner. This way, the same product can be linked to offers from different sellers.
- information on whether the product's and offer's categories are in a set of similar categories.
When we do not unlink offers from products
The products in the Catalog are available to all sellers on Allegro. If your believe your offer is linked to the wrong product, you can report it to us. See the relevant provision in our Terms & Conditions:
According to Appendix 10 of the Allegro Terms & Conditions (Section 1.8): "Upon entering the data and content in relation to the Product proposal, the User creating the proposed and target Product shall give the Company the rights and consents specified in paragraphs 5.1 and 5.5 of the Allegro Terms & Conditions (which shall apply accordingly) in regard to all the content and elements. Upon entering the Product proposal, the User shall lose the ability to edit the data and content added to the Product specifications card. The User may, however, report to the Company any errors and mistakes that took place while entering the Product proposal, using the relevant functionalities on Allegro."
In some cases, despite receiving a report, we have no reason to unlink the offer from the product.
This applies to situations where, among others:
- there are no differences between the goods in the offer and the product
- the only difference is the GTIN (EAN, ISBN, ISSN, or others) — a unique number that indicates the product itself and not its owner. This way, the same product can be linked to offers from different sellers.
- the report concerns, for example, lower product quality — we are unable to verify this if there are no differences between the goods in the offer and the product
- the report concerns a different violation in the offer — report such cases through the form, selecting the appropriate reason. Remember to add a justification — it may help us review your report more quickly.
- you believe someone has violated your intellectual property rights and you have documents that confirm your ownership of those rights. In that case, contact us. Learn more.
Note: We can review your report only if you provide us with the necessary documents.
What will happen when we unlink your offer from the product
If we unlink your offer from the product, we will terminate it automatically and let you know about it in an email.

In the email, you will find a link to the My Assortment tab. Click it and check the list of offers we unlinked from the product.
What happens if you do not link an offer to the product from the Allegro Product Catalog

What if your offer is not linked to the product from the Catalog
We verify all the listed offers. If your offers are not linked to the product — we will end them automatically.
We will not end the offers you list:
- in categories with unique assortment — such as Collections and Art or Handicraft — where you can create temporary products
- as classifieds in the following categories:
- Motoryzacja – Samochody (Automotive – Cars)
- Motoryzacja – Motocykle i quady (Automotive – Motorcycles and Quads)
- Motoryzacja – Maszyny (Automotive – Machinery)
- Motoryzacja – Przyczepy, naczepy (Automotive – Trailers, Semitrailers)
- Motoryzacja – Inne pojazdy i łodzie (Automotive – Other Vehicles and Boats)
- Nieruchomości (Real Estate)
- Firma i usługi – Usługi (Business and Services – Services)
- Firma i usługi – Żywe zwierzęta (Business and Services – Live Animals)
- Firma i usługi – Kursy online (Business and Services – Online courses).
What if you link an offer to the incorrect product from the Catalog
In that case, we will automatically unlink such an offer. We will let you know about it by email.
If we unlink your offers from the product — correct them. Edit the offer and select the appropriate product from the Catalog. If you do it, your offers will remain active.

Temporary products — what they are and how they work
Do you want to catalog your offers, but cannot complete some of the obligatory parameters, or your product is unique? In such situations, we can create temporary products. This way, you will be able to list an offer and link it to the Allegro Product Catalog.
We know that for some categories, it may be difficult to provide all the identifying parameters — for example, in the case of used products. Apart from that, some products are unique and it is not possible to create one set of parameters suitable for all products in a given category. For example, in the Figurines and Sculptures category, you can sell both garden decorations and ethnic handicrafts.
What temporary products are
- We can create temporary products for items with the condition parameter value such as For parts, Incomplete set, New with defects, and Not working, for which you have not provided all the identifying parameters or the provided values are ambiguous (other/none).
Example
We create such temporary products in subcategories within the Fashion category, for which we require the EAN (GTIN) parameter.
- We do not link your temporary products to other offers. One temporary product is only linked to one offer.
- We will not show temporary products in the product search engine. This means other sellers will not link their offers to your temporary products.
How we create temporary products
We will create a temporary product when you list or edit an offer via the listing form, the API, or the List from file tab. We will use:
- the title
- the images in the gallery
- the category
- the parameters.

- Temporary products for offers with the condition parameter value such as For parts, Incomplete set, New with defects, Not working — download the list of categories (available only in Polish).
- Temporary products for unique items — download the list of categories (available only in Polish).
How to report an offer incorrectly linked to the Catalog
If you notice that an offer is incorrectly linked to the Catalog — report it to us. Check how to do that.
If you want to report offers that have been incorrectly linked to the Allegro Product Catalog, use one of the options below:
- the report form — select Report an offer incorrectly linked with a product as the reason for the submission, and explain why you believe the offer has been linked incorrectly.
- the Report an offer incorrectly linked to a product option — you will find it below each active offer at the bottom of the offer page. You cannot add a justification in this report form.
- the option on the list of offers with a given product that appears when you hover the cursor over a photo. We will then display a new layer with a report link. You cannot add a justification in this report form.
We carefully review every report we receive. If we confirm that an offer is incorrectly linked to a product, we will unlink it and automatically end the offer. In some cases, we may also block the possibility of linking a given offer to the same product again.
