Obligations of the seller under the Consumer Protection Act
If you are an entrepreneur and hold a business account, you are required to inform the consumers about the essential conditions of an agreement before they conclude it — especially in the case of distance sales.
You can meet this requirement when you create and upload the general conditions of the agreement. This will allow you to explain all issues concerning the order and help your customers learn about the important aspects of the transaction before they make a purchase. In some countries, such information is also required by law.
How to add the general conditions of the agreement
- Go to the About Seller tab.
- Scroll down to the General conditions of the agreement section.
- Upload a PDF file — up to 3 MB.
You can upload only one file. However, you can include several versions in it. It is a good idea to create the general conditions of the agreement in multiple languages this way.
Regardless of how you name the file, buyers will download it as Ogólne warunki umowy.pdf (General conditions of the agreement).
Where buyers can see your general conditions of the agreement
Your customers will find the conditions you have uploaded:
- directly in your offers — in the About Seller section
- as an attachment to the email they get right after the purchase.

Allegro Community is a common space dedicated for all Allegro customers. There, you can freely discuss, share your experiences and opinions, seek and give advice, ask questions and get answers fast, learn how to use Allegro efficiently, and discover all the doors Allegro opens for you.

How to become an Allegro Community member
You need your Allegro login or email address and password in order to sign in to the Allegro Community. After you log in for the first time, we will ask you to accept the Community Terms and Conditions. That is all! You can now take full advantage of the Allegro Community account.
After signing up you can:
- create new posts and reply to other users’ posts
- follow and rate discussions
- receive email notifications about posts and threads of your interest
- change your user settings (for example, you can change your avatar).

How to change language, currency, and country of delivery on Allegro
Allegro is available in English. Check how to quickly change the language settings, the country of delivery, and the currency in which product prices are displayed.
How to change the language, currency, and country of delivery
On your Allegro account
- Sign in to your account.
- Click your username in the upper right corner and then [account].
- Find the Localization settings section, and click the country, language or currency.
In the pop-up window you can change:
- country of delivery ― you will see only offers:
- of sellers who ship to your country
- with your preferred delivery options available
- language ― this is the language in which:
- you can browse Allegro
- we send you documents and emails
- currency ― when you set it, you will see:
- prices in that currency
- payment methods available for your currency.
- country of delivery ― you will see only offers:
- Click [change]. Done!
You can also change language, currency, and country of delivery preferences if you click on the flag at the top-right corner of the page.
This flag is the flag of your country of delivery. It means the flag will change if you change your country of delivery.
In the Sales Center
- Go to the Sales Center.
- Click your user name in the lower left corner, and then click [change language]. 3.In the pop-up window, you can change the language in which:
- you use Allegro and list offers
- we will send you emails and documents.
- Click [change]. Done!
The language used to complete an offer is set automatically according to your location settings on Allegro when you go to the listing form
For example, if your account language is set to Polish, it will be the base language for your offer and you need to provide the offer description in Polish. If there is an offer completed in English and you want to add a description in Polish — you need to create a new offer or translate it into Polish on your own. Once you open the listing form for a given offer, you cannot change the language in the form.

How to close your Allegro account
You can end your activity on Allegro by withdrawing from the agreement with the platform or terminating the agreement. You can do it in a few simple steps.

Withdrawing from the agreement with Allegro
When you can withdraw from the agreementYou can easily withdraw from the agreement with us ― without providing a reason ― if 14 days have not passed since your Allegro account was registered.
How to withdraw from the agreementTo withdraw from the agreement, submit this application. You will then get a confirmation email from us.
You will lose access to your account immediately after submitting the application. We will log you out and you will not sign in again.
What happens nextUsually, we consider the application right away ― within minutes. It may take us up to 7 days.
- If there were no sales or purchases on your account ― we will completely and irreversibly delete your personal details from our systems.
- If you have made a purchase or listed an offer on that account ― we will erase your data after the time indicated in the Privacy protection policy.
Termination of the agreement with Allegro
When you can terminate the agreementYou can terminate the agreement any time ― also if you no longer meet the conditions of withdrawing from the agreement.
How to terminate the agreementTo terminate the agreement with Allegro, submit this application. That will terminate the agreement you entered with us when you created the account.
What happens nextFrom the moment you submit the application, we will start counting the notice period of 60 days. During that period, you will be able to sign in to your account and finalize the open purchases, auctions or Discussions. However, you will not be able to use most of the features on Allegro, such as making purchases or listing offers, among others. Within the first 7 days of the notice period, we will remove all offers you listed. After 60 days, your agreement will be terminated. We will remove your personal details after the time indicated in the Privacy protection policy.
When we may remove your account
We can terminate the agreement:
- if you repeatedly violate the Allegro Terms & Conditions or
- for accounts where no purchase or sale has been made for at least:
- 5 years from account registration or
- 10 years from the last transaction on that account.
What it means for you
Before we terminate our agreement with you due to a lack of purchases or sales, we will let you know by email. If you do not buy or sell anything on Allegro or Allegro Lokalnie within 30 days from that moment — we will automatically terminate the agreement. It means we will remove your account and all data on it.
- Pay out your sales funds.
- Pay any arrears to Allegro.
- If you have an open invoice account ― settle the balance on the Allegro account, and close it in the Invoices tab, or use the [contact us] button below this article.
- If you have a Subscription ― unsubscribe in the Subscriptions tab.
If you have an active Allegro Pay service ― pay for all the purchases you made using that method.
If you have an active Allegro Cash service ― we will disable it on your account immediately after you request to terminate the agreement. If there is any money left in your Allegro Cash account ― we will return it to the bank account you used to activate the service. If you want us to transfer that money to another bank account ― contact us.
What if you are an Allegro Smart! member ― we will disable this service on your account immediately after you submit the termination of the agreement. Within 14 days, we will refund you for the unused period of the Allegro Smart! membership. We will transfer the money to the account you used to pay for the service. We will also email you the correction invoice.
My account is suspended. Can I create a new one?

If you do not clarify the issue of your account suspension and you manage to register and activate a new account, it does not mean we agreed to that. The new account is created in violation of Allegro Terms & Conditions, so we can suspend it irrevocably at any moment.
If your account is suspended due to a serious rule violation, your other accounts may be suspended as well, even if they were created prior to the suspension.
After your account is suspended, you are not allowed to use other people’s accounts or create new accounts with other people’s personal information. Consequently, all accounts used by the person whose original account is suspended may be suspended, as well.
If, according to data in our databases, several people linked to each other (by last name, home address or IP address) use Allegro regularly and independently from one another, and one of them violates our rules, we do not block accounts of people linked to that user automatically.
However, if there is an indication that the suspended account owner uses other accounts, they are suspended. It is especially true for linked accounts which were created or resumed its activity soon after the original account suspension.
