Editing account details
What and when you can change in your account details
You can find your details in the Account Details tab. You can check them and edit if necessary. Keep them accurate and up to date to avoid problems with purchases or order dispatch.
What personal details you can update
- Email — learn how to update it here.
- First name and last name
- Non-business (regular) account — we allow for a change of personal information only in special situations when the change may be confirmed by court or administration — for example, when you get married. Learn how to change it here.
- Business account — you can edit the first and last name of the person responsible for contact with Allegro.
- First name and last name (transfering account)
- Business account — business name, if the business details (tax identification number (NIP), National Business Registry (REGON) number, KRS entry number) do not change.
- Login (username) — you can change it only if your username is Client:123456789. Learn more.
- Contact information — the address you provided is the default address for shipping items you purchased. If you want parcels to be sent to a different address, provide it in the delivery form. You can add, edit, and delete your contact information in the Account Details tab. Keep your phone number updated so that it is easier to contact you about dispatch and delivery of your purchases.
If you have a business account and do not want us to display the phone number from the Account Details in the About Seller section, provide a separate contact number for buyers.
Why is the number entered in the Account Details displayed in the About Seller section?
In the About Seller section on the offer page, we display, for example, your company and contact details — such as the email address or contact number you have provided in the Sales Settings.
If you have a business account and do not provide the contact details for buyers in the Sales Settings — About Seller tab, we display the contact number entered in the Account Details section.
We do it following the Digital Services Act — the EU regulation that changes some of the rules of using online platforms such as Allegro. The regulation has been in force since February 17, 2024.
How to change the email address in the account settings
- Open the Account Details tab.
- Click [edit] under the e-mail section.
- Enter your new email address in the pop-up window.
- Click [next].
- Sign in again to your Allegro account ― it is necessary for security reasons.
- Open the message we have sent to your new email address and click [confirm email].
If you cannot find the message in your mailbox, check the Spam folder.
We will also send you a message about changing your email address to your old mailbox.
If you have more than one account, you need to assign a different email address to each Allegro account.
Can you change your username
Unfortunately, for security reasons, you cannot change your username once you have chosen it.
You can change a Client:123456789-type username, which we assign automatically to new users, once.
The username you select must be unique ― no other user may have it, even if they are not active for quite a while. A user of an account (including its name) is a person (or a business) who has registered it.
If you want to use another username, create a new account, using a different email address.
Can you change the account owner
No. Due to transaction security concerns, you cannot transfer the regular account ownership to another person.
A person whose data was provided at registration on Allegro is always a regular account owner and user. The account owner is responsible for all transactions linked to their account, and bound to settle any billing charged on them.
How to correct contact information provided at registration
If you want to correct or update your contact information, open the Account Details tab, and click [edit] under the information you want to change. Enter the new or corrected contact information and click [save changes].
If you entered a wrong birthdate at registration and you want to correct it, contact us.
Why it is necessary to confirm your details
In some situations, we may ask you for additional confirmation of your data – for example, while trying to recover your account, you may need to send a photo of the document.
In justified cases, when:
- you violate the Allegro Terms & Conditions
- you edit the details on your account
- you try to regain the account access
- we want to confirm your identity
we may ask you for additional documents.
What documents we may request
- If you hold a regular account — we will ask you for an unedited photo of your ID and/or a selfie, which is a photo taken by yourself with a mobile phone or a webcam.
- If you hold a business account — we will ask you for unedited photos that confirm the existence of your business, for example, NIP or REGON assignment document and/or a selfie, which is a photo taken by yourself with a mobile phone or a webcam.
Why we ask you to present photos of documents
We only need them to confirm the authenticity of the information provided in the registration form. Submitting those photos is is not mandatory. However, it may be a condition to continue cooperation between you and Allegro.
What happens with the photos you submit
We will delete them as soon as we have confirmed your details are correct.

How to edit business details and invoice details
- Go to the Account details tab and enter the new details. We will display a message with the list of cases when you can change your details ― the message content depends on the new company seat.
If you cannot see the message, click [contact us] below this article.
- Tick a box to continue and click [next] ― by doing so you take over:
- any rights and obligations resulting from the account details change
- all the assets and obligations related to Allegro generated while using the account by the previous company
- obligations towards buyers ― for example, in case of withdrawal from the agreement, complaints related to the non-compliance of goods with the agreement, or shortage of goods.
- Then, you will be redirected to the form that consists of 2 parts:
Set payouts in Allegro Finance ― confirm the bank account details of the new business. We will show you different verification methods ― depending on the business country of origin. In most cases, you can use a bank transfer.
Company verification ― select reason for change: We will show you the list of details and documents you need to provide ― depending on the reason you select.
- Complete the form and click [send all documents]. The verification result will be available in the My Account tab.
