When and how to apply for a transaction rebate
Getting a transaction rebate (sales commission refund) automatically without applying for it
In some situations, you will receive a transaction rebate (sales commission refund) automatically, without submitting an application.
You can get the transaction rebate (sales commission refund) without applying for it in some specific cases. Thanks to that solution, you will not lose time completing the transaction rebate (sales commission refund) application. Additionally, you can enable automatic refunds for the buyers. They will surely appreciate getting their refunds fast, and you will get the transaction rebate (sales commission refund) faster.
When you will get a transaction rebate (sales commission refund) without submitting an application
Canceled orders
You will receive a transaction rebate (sales commission refund) for a canceled order without applying if:
- the buyer cancels an unpaid order placed through the buy now option ― and chooses:
- payment in advance, and does not pay, or
- payment on delivery or at personal pick-up
- the buyer cancels an unpaid order placed through an auction ― and does not choose to pay on delivery ― we charge the sales commission on purchases from auctions 7 days after they come to an end, so you will get the transaction rebate (sales commission refund) automatically 7 days after the buyer cancels their purchase
- the buyer cancels an order they have paid for ― all you need to do is refund the buyer through the Allegro Finance
- we cancel an order automatically ― if the buyer does not pay on time.
We may automatically cancel a purchase in an auction
If the buyer fails to pay for their purchase in an auction within 30 days nor do they choose to pay on delivery, submit the transaction rebate (sales commission refund) application after we charge it. Once you get the transaction rebate (sales commission refund), we will automatically cancel the purchase.
Doubled purchase
If
- the buyer has placed an order, but has not paid for the purchase, and then they have bought from the same offer again within 24 hours of previous purchase, and paid for that purchase or chosen to pay on delivery
you can get the transaction rebate (sales commission refund) without application for the order that has not been paid for.
Refunds
You will receive the transaction rebate (sales commission refund) automatically if all the requirements in the following cases are met.
Case 1
- you refund the buyer through Allegro Finance (if this is how the buyer has paid)
- the buyer returns the purchase through the returns form in the Purchase History tab, and they specify the reason for return as one of the following:
- I do not like it
- Purchase by mistake
- Withdrawing from the agreement without stating the reason
- The goods and parcel are damaged in transport.
Case 2
- you refund the buyer through Allegro Finance (if this is how the buyer has paid)
- the buyer returns the purchase through the returns form in the Purchase History tab, and they specify the reason for return as one of the following:
- The goods do not match the ones the buyer ordered
- Goods not delivered on time
- Missing element
- The goods are damaged, but the parcel is intact
- Other defect or a non-compliance of the goods with the agreement.
Case 3
- you refund the buyer through Allegro Finance (if this is how the buyer has paid)
- the buyer has not opened the Discussion
- your sales quality is Neutral or higher.
Case 4
- you refund the buyer through Allegro Finance (if this is how the buyer has paid)
- the buyer has not opened the Discussion
- the parcel status indicates that the buyer has not collected it.
Example
A buyer purchases an item from your buy now offer and chooses payment in advance. However, they do not pay ― instead, they cancel their order. We have already charged you with a sales commission for this transaction. That is why you will receive a transaction rebate (sales commission refund) without submitting any application when the buyer cancels their order. We will apply for a transaction rebate (sales commission refund) for you, and inform you via email about granting it.
Canceling a purchase from an auction and a transaction rebate (sales commission refund)
We usually charge a commission for an auction 7 days after it ends. You can get a transaction rebate (sales commission refund) in two ways, depending on whether the buyer has canceled their purchase. If the buyer:
- cancels their purchase ― they do not pay for it nor choose to pay on delivery ― you will receive a transaction rebate (sales commission refund) automatically, without applying for it, 7 days after the purchase cancelation.
- does not cancel their purchase, but does not pay for it nor choose to pay on delivery ― submit an application for a transaction rebate (sales commission refund) after we charge you with the sales commission.
Where to find information about a transaction rebate (sales commission refund) granted without submitting an application
You can find it in several locations:
- in the Submitted applications tab ― next to a relevant order, you will find information about automatically submitted application and its status
- if you want to submit an application for a transaction rebate (sales commission refund), but we have automatically submitted it for you, you will see a pop-up window with such information
- in an email about a granted transaction rebate (sales commission refund).

- above the list of applications, in the yellow banner.

How to get a transaction rebate (sales commission refund)
If you want to get a transaction rebate (sales commission refund), go to the appropriate tab in your account. You have 45 days from the transaction date to submit the application.
If you sell a product but the transaction is not finalized, you can apply for a transaction rebate (sales commission refund). You have 45 days from the date of the transaction to do it. You will get the transaction rebate in specific cases.
You can check all your transactions in the Orders tab — there, you can also apply for a transaction rebate (sales commission refund). You can also manage your transaction rebates (sales commission refunds) through the Allegro API.
To submit the application
- Go to the Orders tab and select the offer for which you want to apply for a transaction rebate (sales commission refund). You can use the search option in the tab to find a relevant offer easier. Simply enter the buyer's login or offer ID.
- Next to the selected offer, click the Actions menu and select Sales commission refund.
- From the given order choose the products which the buyer returned. There, you can also change the quantity — for example, if the buyer returns 2 of 3 ordered products.
- Click [apply].
In the Submitted applications tab, you can find a list of all your applications submitted in the last 120 days.

If our data is not sufficient to process the application, in certain situations, we will send an email to the buyer with regard to the unaccomplished purchase. In the email, we will ask them to specify the reason.
The buyer cannot apply for the transaction rebate (sales commission refund) on behalf of the seller — the seller has to do it on their own.

I have requested a transaction rebate (sales commission refund). Can I cancel the application?
If you have successfully completed the transaction after completing the application, cancel the application. To do this, go to the relevant tab and select the transaction to which it relates.
Of course, you can.
If you have successfully completed the transaction after you applied for a transaction rebate (sales commission refund) — cancel the refund. In order to do so:
- Open the Submitted applications tab.
- Find a relevant transaction.
- Click [cancel the application] next to the transaction.
