Same-day dispatch
What the same-day dispatch time is and how to set it
The same-day dispatch time is the time by which buyers must place their order and pay for it if they want the parcel to be dispatched on the same day. We display that time in offers with fast dispatch — the ones in which you declare the same-day or next-day dispatch.
The badge makes your offers stand out. In addition, your potential customers know that when they buy in a given offer, they can expect to receive their order on the next working day. This may encourage them to buy from you.
But that is not all! Check what you can gain thanks to the fast dispatch.
- You will increase your offer visibility. We display offers with same-day dispatch higher in search results. If your offer is displayed among 5 offers at the top of the list, customers are 5 times more likely to buy in it.
- Our data shows that if you increase the number of parcels dispatched the same day by 1 percentage point, you can get from 5 to even 20% more orders. When the number of orders you dispatch on the day of purchase decreases by 1 percentage point — you can lose from 15 to 45% of orders. Check the details in the table below*.
* We have calculated data from the table based on the sellers' sales history. We do not guarantee that after a change in the same-day dispatches, the number of orders will change as described above. It may also differ depending on the seller.
You will achieve higher scores in sales quality. If, in your offers, you declare immediate dispatch or dispatch within 1 day and you dispatch orders from those offers on the day of purchase, you can get up to 200 points for your sales quality (160 points in the Fast dispatch metric and 40 points in the On-time dispatch metric). That's as much as 40% of the total points you can earn.
You will have an advantage over other sellers. Fast dispatch and delivery is one of the factors buyers consider while making a purchase. That is why if we display your same-day dispatch time longer than for other sellers — customers are more likely to buy from you.
Buyers can look up your offers in a fast and easy way. To do it, they can use the Delivery time filter and select delivery by tomorrow.
You will get a special badge. If you have the result Super in the Fast dispatch metric in the sales quality, we will grant you a special badge. It will inform customers that if they buy from you, they can expect to receive their order on the next working day.
- You can get a bonus in the Allegro Diamond Partners program. With the same-day dispatch, you can meet one of the program objectives and receive, for example, a package of Features.
What conditions you need to meet so that we can display the same-day dispatch time in your offers
Customers expect the delivery information to be as accurate as possible. That is why we can only display the information about the same-day dispatch time in offers where:
- you declare to dispatch the parcel immediately or within 24 hours and
- you have enabled at least one next-day delivery option.
Apart from that, you also need to meet the following conditions:
- in the Ordering time settings tab, you provide the same-day dispatch time — for specific carriers and days of the week
- you have fulfilled at least 10 orders delivered by integrated carriers for whom you have set the same-day dispatch time
- you have dispatched a minimum of 95% of the orders your customers placed and paid for in the last 28 days on the same day
- your delivery time has not been extended due to delays in dispatching orders from the previous day.
To help you adjust offers to those requirements, we display a section with recommendations in the Delivery Settings tab. We suggest offers for which you can shorten the dispatch time. We do it on a regular basis — each Thursday. If you want to use our suggestions, you can edit the dispatch declaration in a quick and easy way.
To do it:
- Go to the Delivery Settings tab.
- In the Increase your sales — get more badges with quick delivery section, click [set the dispatch time].
- You will see a list grouped according to the declared dispatch time and a recommended change of the dispatch time for each group.
- Select the offer group and click [edit dispatch time].
You can also download a file with a list of offers for each recommendation. It will help you check the offers for which it is a good idea to shorten the declared dispatch time.
How you can check whether you meet those conditions
If you set the same-day dispatch time in the Ordering time settings tab, but you do not meet any of the other requirements — we will display a message. Once you hover the cursor over it, you will learn which condition you do not meet.
To learn more, go to the Delivery Efficiency tab and click [download report] in the Sales Quality measurement statistics section.
- The report will be saved on your device.
- Open it and go to the Orders spreadsheet.
- Use the filters to look up the orders from the last 28 days that have been placed in offers with the same-day dispatch declaration. To do it, for the column:
- Order counts towards Sales Quality — search for orders with the Yes value
- Declared dispatch time — search for orders with the same-day dispatch value.
- You will see the list of orders based on which we check whether to display the same-day dispatch time in your offers.
- To check how many orders you have failed to dispatch as declared, use the filter in the Order dispatched on time column. All you need to do is look up orders with the No value.
- Use the filter in the Carrier (on-time dispatch) column and select the carrier of your choice as the filter value. That way, you will see the orders that stop us from displaying the same-day dispatch time for that carrier.
How to set the same-day dispatch times for specific carriers
Set the same-day dispatch times as late as possible — that will give you an advantage over other sellers and you will increase the chances that buyers will choose your offers. However, pay attention to:
- setting the same-day dispatch time that will give you enough time to prepare parcels and hand them over to the courier
- adapting the same-day dispatch time to the workflow of your business
- setting the same-day dispatch time no later than the cut-off times carriers specified for the parcel collection. That applies to the cut-off times for your location, as well as the pick-up times you have set with the carrier.
You can set the same-day dispatch times in the Delivery Settings tab — in the Ordering time settings section. To make it easier, select the delivery market at the top of the tab. That way you will only see the carriers that carry out delivery in that market.
If you select Poland and other countries as the delivery market, you can see two sections: Allegro Delivery and Other carriers. Keep reading to learn how to set the same-day dispatch time in each section.

The Allegro Delivery section
In that section, you will set the same-day dispatch times for the delivery options available in the Allegro Delivery program.
Delivery with Allegro One (Box) — same-day delivery and Allegro One (Point, Box, Courier) is carried out by Allegro One Courier in selected cities. That means you will set the same-day dispatch times for those delivery options only if they are available for your location. Therefore, select the city you dispatch parcels from to enable time settings for those delivery options.
Next, to set the same-day dispatch time:
Check the delivery option for which you want to set the same-day dispatch time. You can select:
- Allegro One (Box) — same-day delivery — carried out by Allegro One Courier. Set two separate delivery times: for inter-city and intra-city delivery
- Allegro One (Point, Box, Courier) — next-day delivery — carried out by Allegro One Courier
- Allegro One (Point, Box) — next-day delivery — with that delivery option, you can set the same-day dispatch time for deliveries carried out by DPD and UPS.
- ORLEN with next-day delivery.
Select the days for which you are setting a given time. You can set the same time for each day of the week: from Monday to Friday or from Monday to Sunday. If you want to set a different time for each day, click Custom and select the days for which you want to set a given time. If you want to set the time for other days, click Set remaining days.
- Click [save changes]. Done!
The Other carriers section
In that section, you can set the same-day dispatch time for carriers that carry out delivery outside the Allegro Delivery program. To do it:
- Select the carrier and set the same-day dispatch time.
- Select the days for which those times apply. You can set the same time for each day of the week: from Monday to Friday or from Monday to Sunday. If you want to set a different time for each day, click Custom and select the days for which you want to set a given time. If you want to set the time for other days, click Set remaining days.
- Click [save changes]. Done!
Where buyers can find information about same-day dispatch
- on the lists of offers and products
- on the offer page — alongside other delivery information
- on the offer minipage — available only on a desktop. Buyers can view it if they hover over the offer thumbnail on the offer list.
- in the delivery and payment form — next to every delivery option for which you have set the same-day dispatch time
- in sections with recommended offers.
We show the fastest delivery option available. That means we display the same-day dispatch time for the carrier which offers the fastest delivery and for which you have set the latest same-day dispatch time.
When we display same-day dispatch times in offers
- 7 days a week
- from midnight until the time you have set
- when you do not have the Sales break option enabled.
Example
You set same-day dispatch times for three carriers. For UPS — 10:00 a.m., for Poczta Polska — 11:00 a.m., and for DHL — 1 p.m. You specify that they apply between Monday and Friday. You meet all of the requirements. Consequently, between Monday and Thursday, from 00:00 a.m. to 1 p.m., we display in your offers the following information: buy before 13:00 — delivery tomorrow. Before 1 p.m. on Friday, buyers can see the following information: buy before 13:00 — delivery on Monday.
Cut-off times for dispatching parcels with selected carriers
The cut-off times are the latest times when the carrier may pick up parcels from you. These are the times by which you need to have your parcels ready so they are dispatched on the same day.
Why it is worth knowing the cut-off times
Once you know the cut-off times, you can, for example:
- organize and plan your everyday work better
- check which carriers pick up parcels at times convenient for you
- aet more precise same-day dispatch times in your offers
- increase your chances of better results in your sales quality — On-time dispatch and Fast dispatch metrics — learn more.
The cut-off times vary depending on the carrier and the location where you dispatch parcels. You can check them in the table below.
