The most important changes in the upcoming months will concern the Allegro DPD parcel size, selecting the offer categories, sharing offers in foreign marketplaces, and the obligation to link offers to the Allegro Product Catalog.
We will also update the sales rules in certain categories and procedures related to the payout of sales funds.

We will restore the uniform dimensions of Allegro DPD parcels, regardless of the pick-up point you dispatch them to/at
From: April 15, 2024
From April 15, 2024, no matter if the buyer orders an Allegro DPD Pickup parcel to the Żabka convenience store (with or without the payment on delivery option) or another DPD pick-up point, the following parcel dimensions and weight will be allowed:
- weight (actual or dimensional weight) — max. 20 kg
- length of the longest side of the parcel — max. 150 cm
- sum of the height and the circumference (2 x length + 2 x width) — max. 300 cm.
Before April 15, you can dispatch parcels exceeding the following dimensions and weight only at/to DPD pick-up points not located in the Żabka convenience stores.
Dispatch at/to the Żabka convenience stores
- actual parcel weight — max. 10 kg
- height — max. 60 cm
- width — max. 40 cm
- depth — max. 40 cm.
Dispatch at/to other DPD pick-up points
- parcel weight (actual or dimensional) — max. 20 kg
- length of the longest side of the parcel — max. 150 cm
- sum of the height and the circumference (2 x length + 2 x width) — max. 300 cm

We will require you to select the appropriate category for the products you sell
From: April 15, 2024
We will require you to place the products you sell in appropriate categories. If there is a category dedicated to your product — do not list it in the Other category.
Why we will introduce that change
Category is one of the most important offer elements. Based on the categories, we determine the parameters that must or should be completed. Parameters correspond to the features of the assortment you sell in a given category.
Thanks to the parameters:
- we can display your offers when the buyer is using filters on the offer list
- we know what product you offer and we can catalog it properly.
Why it is not a good idea to list offers in the Other categories
The assortment listed in the Other categories is very diverse. It makes it hard to select parameters that describe special features for all products in those categories. Customers who search for products there have a difficult task. If there are no parameters that we can add to the filters on the lists, buyers cannot reach all offers containing the product they want to buy.

We will update the list of brands that sellers from outside the European Economic Area cannot list
From: April 15, 2024
How it works now
To ensure the highest quality and safety of shopping, only sellers who dispatch products from the European Economic Area can list products of certain brands. The ban on the sale of new products of those brands applies to sellers on regular and business accounts who:
- have an account registered with the details of a person or an entity with a place of residence or seat outside the EEA and dispatch products from countries outside the EEA
or
- have an account registered with details from an EEA country but dispatch products from outside the EEA and do not issue an invoice.
What we will change

We will change the conditions you need to meet to promote offers with Coins
From: April 15, 2024
How it works now
You can add Coins to offers on a business account if:
- your average sales rating has been at least 4.8
- in the last 30 days, buyers have given you 5 ratings of 5 minimum.
What we will change
The only condition for promoting offers with Coins will be at least a Neutral sales quality level on the business account.

We will change the way buyers rate product reviews
From: April 15, 2024
Product reviews are comments that buyers leave about specific products. They concern only products ― not the seller or the transaction. Buyers can rate whether a given review is useful by clicking the thumbs up or down.
What we will change
If customers find a given review helpful, they will still be able to rate it with a thumbs up. However, we will remove the possibility of rating reviews with a thumbs down. If a given review does not comply with our Terms & Conditions ― customers will still be able to report a violation.

We will introduce changes to the list of forbidden and restricted goods
From: April 15, 2024
We will update the provision regarding sales in the Investment Products and Collectible Gold Coins subcategories on allegro.cz
We will include in the Terms & Conditions information that selling in the Collectible Gold Coins and Investment Products subcategories (except for the Scrap silver and gold subcategory) is possible also on allegro.cz. If you list offers in those subcategories — it is worth sharing them in the Czech marketplace. The rules for selling in those subcategories on allegro.cz are the same as on allegro.pl — however, you can only share offers on allegro.cz from a business account.

We will include in the Terms & Conditions rules regarding the sales of eBooks and mp3 audiobooks.
Ebooks and audiobooks can only be listed in the following subcategories: E-Books and MP3 Audiobooks.
If you already sell eBooks and mp3 audiobooks — you do not need to take action. The rules of selling eBooks and audiobooks will remain the same. The change concerns the fact that we will include those rules in the Terms & Conditions.
If you want to start selling in those subcategories, contact us at ebooki@allegro.com. You will be able to sell in them if you meet the following conditions.
- You allow buyers to download the ebooks and mp3 audiobooks they buy in the My Shelf tab — you can do that by integrating with the API (we will send you instructions by email).
- The average monthly number of active offers in either subcategory on your account is at least:
- 1,000 — for the MP3 Audiobooks subcategory
or
- 10,000 — for the E-books subcategory.
This does not apply to sellers who offer only publications of their authorship or publications of which they are the publisher.
- You include in the offer description information about the post-purchase terms of use, for example, about the possibility of downloading eBooks and audiobooks in the My Shelf tab.
- You configure the offer so that it contains information that it is impossible to withdraw from the agreement without providing a reason (according to the Allegro returns policy concerning digital content).

We will clarify the ban on selling harmful substances
The list of forbidden and restricted goods includes harmful substances offered as food products. Those are, for example, yohimbine, ostarine, ligandrol, DMAA, modafinil, ipamorelin, and aniracetam.
We will clarify that such substances cannot be offered as cosmetics or pharmaceutical products.
Basis: security/safety considerations (sub-paragraph 14.1 (h) of the Allegro Terms & Conditions).
We will update the Allegro privacy protection policy
From: April 15, 2024
We will supplement the privacy protection policy with another purpose of data processing, which stems from the Digital Services Act.
The Digital Services Act is an EU regulation that changes some of the rules of using online platforms such as Allegro. Learn more.
In connection with this regulation, we are required to store and display on the platform:
- personal data of sellers who are entrepreneurs
- information about the entities that paid for the advertisement and on whose behalf we present it.
The retention period for the personal data stored for the purpose specified above is 6 months after the completion of services.
Basis: amendments to legal regulations having a direct impact on the content of the Terms & Conditions (sub-paragraph 14.1 (a) of the Allegro Terms & Conditions).
We will clarify the rules regarding offer descriptions and product images
Sellers who have concluded a separate agreement with us can take advantage of exceptions to the rules for descriptions and images in offers. They can, for example, use thumbnails without the white background in categories where it is mandatory. One such exception is the possibility of adding text on the images in the offer — we will include that in the Terms & Conditions.

We will update the Allegro Ads Partner program Terms & Conditions
From: April 15, 2024
Allegro Ads Partner is a program dedicated to agencies that make professional Allegro Ads campaigns on behalf of sellers.
What we will change
We will increase the minimum amount of spending on the agency account that a given agency needs to reach in a quarter to participate in the program on the Allegro Ads Partner and Allegro Ads Partner+ levels.

Allegro Smart!: we check whether you provided a Polish return address in your offers
Your offers are Smart! if you meet the conditions concerning sales and offers. One of them — no matter if you hold a business or a regular account — is adding returns terms in your offers. In the Terms & Conditions, we will specify that you should provide a Polish return address in offers with the Smart! badge. It refers to offers where you:
- dispatch products from Poland and
- offer delivery within Poland and
- have enabled the domestic delivery options that qualify for Allegro Smart!
This change does not apply to you if you sell on allegro.pl and dispatch products from Czechia, Germany, France, or the Netherlands.

We will correct the editorial errors in the price lists of Orlen Paczka and Poczta Polska
- We will remove the editorial error that implies we provide the fee rates for additional services for Orlen Paczka for delivery within Allegro Smart! (the fee rates are the same within and outside the service).
- We will correct the code of one of Poczta Polska's additional services and rearrange all of those services in the price list.
The amendments listed above will not affect fee rates.

You will share offers on allegro.cz and allegro.sk more easily
From: June 4, 2024
On June 4, we will change the way of sharing offers in foreign marketplaces.
How it works now
To make an offer from allegro.pl visible in foreign marketplaces, you submit it for sharing in the My Assortment tab, listing form, or through the API. If your offer meets the requirements, we display it on allegro.cz or allegro.sk.
What we will change
We will automatically submit an offer for sharing on allegro.cz or allegro.sk as soon as you add a delivery option to Czechia or Slovakia to your shipping price list. If that offer meets the requirements — it will be visible to customers from Czechia or Slovakia. Check what delivery options to those countries are available.
If, at the stage of sharing an offer, you do not provide the product price in the currency of a given marketplace — we will convert it from PLN using the Price Converter. We will do it based on the exchange rate information published by the European Central Bank on the day before the day of conversion.

From: June 4, 2024
Currently, there is one payment operator available on allegro.cz and allegro.sk — PayU.
If you share offers on allegro.cz or allegro.sk, your transactions in those marketplaces will be handled by another payment operator: Przelewy24. You do not need to take action.
In addition, we will make it possible to convert the sales funds — from PLN into EUR and CZK. You will do that with the Currency Converter.

We will update the Terms & Conditions of the Allegro Finance payment operator
From: June 4, 2024
Allegro Finance is one of the payment operators available on allegro.pl — others are PayU and Przelewy24. Check what we will change in the Allegro Finance service.
We will allow payouts to accounts held in countries of the European Economic Area
Currently, Allegro Finance payouts are possible only to a Polish bank account. We will allow payouts to bank accounts held outside Poland — in the EEA countries.
We will update the Allegro Finance privacy protection policy
We will add information about the processing of biometric data. We will only process your biometric data to verify or identify your identity, particularly the authenticity of your ID card. We verify it following the requirements of the law on the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing. We delete the biometric data immediately after performing the verification.
Basis: improving the functionalities offered by Allegro Finance, adding a new function, and enhancing the level of the Users' security (sub-paragraphs 7.1 (c) and (d) of the Allegro Finance Terms & Conditions).
Allegro Lokalnie: we will remove standard transfer payments and reduce the time to pay for a purchase
From: June 4, 2024
How it works now
- Your customers can pay for the purchases made on Allegro Lokalnie in classifieds in the buy now format and auctions using a bank card, BLIK, fast payment, or a standard transfer.
- The time to pay for the purchase made in classifieds in the buy now format or an auction is 120 hours from the moment of purchase.
What we will change
- We will remove standard transfer payments.
- In the case of auctions, we will reduce the time to pay for a purchase — from 120 to 72 hours.
- In the case of classifieds in the buy now format, there will be no maximum time to make a payment. It means that customers will have to pay for their purchases immediately.
With those changes, your classified ad in the buy now format will disappear from the classified ad list only after the customer makes a payment (and not when they click Przejdź to płatności (Go to the payment)).
If the customer fails to pay for the purchase made in an auction within 72 hours — the auction will automatically return to the classified ad list (unless you resigned from the automatic relisting).
We will not introduce any changes regarding payment on delivery.
How to pay for a purchase on Allegro Lokalnie.

From July 1, we will require all offers to be linked to the Allegro Product Catalog
We want Allegro to become a platform fully based on the Product Catalog, so we want 100% of offers linked to it.
What it means for you
You will list new offers only after linking them to the Allegro Product Catalog. Offers not linked to it will no longer be visible to buyers. That will not apply to offers listed in several categories — you can find their complete list here.
Update of July 9, 2024: we gradually increase the number of categories where we require linking offers to the Product Catalog. Ultimately, we will require that in all categories.
What you can gain with the Allegro Product Catalog
- You will list offers easier — if you enter the EAN code, Brand, or Model, you can download the complete product data from the Catalog. You do not need to take professional pictures of the product or create descriptions. All you need to do is determine your sales policy and set delivery options.
- Buyers will find your offers faster. By grouping all offers with the same product, we reduce the number of search result pages by almost 20%.
- It gives you more time to manage your sales. Customers use the Ask a question option 60% less often in offers linked to the Catalog.
- You will increase your sales. The offers you dispatch outside Poland will be visible to buyers in foreign marketplaces.
