What are product reviews visible in my offers
Product reviews are item reviews posted by buyers. They have the form of stars and sometimes comments. Thanks to them, buyers know whether it is worth buying interesting items.
Product reviews are reviews of specific items left by their buyers. Those reviews concern only an item, and not a seller or a transaction process. Thanks to them, customers know whether it is worth buying a certain item. You can also download product reviews assigned to your offers through the Allegro API.
What the reviews are for
The majority of customers search for reviews of items they are interested in. After reading them, people are much more likely to make a purchase. Reviews in your offers are beneficial because they may increase your chances to sell more.
What offers the buyers can post a review to
Reviews can be posted to all the offers with new items. Customers can review an item only if they bought it on Allegro. Reviews can be posted up to 12 months from making a purchase.
What you can do to make more reviews appear in your offer
All you have to do is link it to a product. This way, all the reviews (posted in all the Allegro offers with this item) will appear in your offer.
How we display product reviews
Next to each product, we display reviews buyers left on:
- allegro.pl and other foreign marketplaces — for example, allegro.cz
- Mall or CZC.CZ — they are marked as review from Mall by Allegro or review from CZC.CZ by Allegro.
That means you can see reviews in different languages next to a product. Reviews in the language you have set in your account will be displayed first. You can translate reviews left in other languages.
How to remove a review of a product I sell?
If a review infringes on the rules stipulated in the Terms & Conditions, for example, it concerns a different product or includes hate speech — you can submit it for verification.
- Click [report violation] next to a selected review.
- In the form, select the reason for reporting. We divided them into 2 types:
- Violation of the Terms and Conditions — you need to be signed in to your Allegro account to select the reason from that list
- Infringement of the law — we will ask you to provide the legal basis and justification for how that review infringes on the law.
- Click [next]. We will verify that review and take further steps if needed.
If you want to add another review that infringes on the same law, in the request form, click add more. We will display the number of reviews you are reporting, for example, Added to the report: 6 reviews. Click [change] to add more reviews or remove some of them.
If we find that the review you reported as an infringement of the law does not violate the law nor our Terms & Conditions, we will inform you about it via email.
If we remove the review, we will let the author know about that — we will email the buyer who published the review. In that message, they will see information about:
- the reason for the review removal
- the possibility to appeal against our decision
- the possibility of restoring the review. The buyer may edit their review — we will then display it again. All they need to do is
- click [edit review] in the email from us, and write a new review complying with our tips provided in the message.
A buyer can edit a product review only once.
