Password
You can set up a new password to your Allegro account in the Sign-in and Password tab.
If you created your Allegro account using your Google or Facebook account, you do not need a separate password for Allegro. You can sign in using the connection to these services. You can, however, create a separate password to sign in to your Allegro account with your email address. You can do it in the Sign-in and Password tab.
What if you do not have access to your account
If you cannot sign in or forgot your password — you can still retrieve the access to your Allegro account using a trusted device, phone number, or email address. Learn how to do it step-by-step.
How to change password on Allegro
- Open the Sign-in and Password tab.
- Click [change password].
- You will see a new window with three fields to complete. Enter your current password in the first one.
- In the second one, enter the new password you want to set.
- In the last field, enter the new password again to confirm it and make sure there are no typos.
- Click [change]. Done!
When you change your password, we will sign you out of Allegro on all devices for security reasons. Use the new password to sign back in.
How to regain access to your account when you cannot sign in
If you are unable to sign in to Allegro, try out a few solutions to the most common problems or check what to do if you forgot your password.
If you are unable to sign in to Allegro, try out a few solutions to the most common problems:
- Make sure you enter your sign-in details correctly. Check if you have not accidentally pressed the Caps Lock key (to write in capital letters) or Ctrl+Shift (to switch the y and z keys).
- If you use a password manager in your browser, check if the automatically suggested data is correct. Perhaps you have a new password, but your browser still remembers the old one.
- If you forgot your password, follow the instructions below. We will help you reset it and regain access to your account.
- If one sign-in method does not work, try another. For example, if you cannot sign in with your username and password, try using a QR code or your phone. Check the available sign-in methods.

How to regain account access if you forgot your password
To regain access to your account, reset your forgotten password and set a new one. You can do it through:
- text message
- email — if:
- your Allegro account is linked to an email address in the gmail.com domain
- you sign in using a trusted device.
What a trusted device is
You need to enable two-factor authentication to add your device to trusted devices. It is an additional protection of your account that requires a one-time code to sign in on a device that is not trusted. You can generate such a code in the app or receive it in a text message.
That way, even if someone steals the password for your Allegro account, they will not be able to sign in — because only you have the one-time code. Learn more.
How to reset your password through text message
- Click Recover the password on the sign-in page.
- Enter your email address or your Allegro username and click [next].
- In the Set using: section, select the option with the number you want to use and click [next]. If the digits shown do not match your phone number, let us know.
- We will send you the code to the selected phone number. When you enter it, we will redirect you to a page where you can set a new password.
- Enter a new password and click [set and sign in]. Done!
How to reset your password through email
- Click Recover the password on the sign-in page.
- Enter your email address or your Allegro username and click [next].
- In the Set using: section, select the option with the email address you want to use and click [next].
- Click [go to your inbox] and open the email from us.
- Click the link in the email.
- Enter a new password and click [set and sign in].
While setting the new password, you can select the Secure sign-in option. It will enable two-factor authentication on your account. Learn more.
