What the Kindness Jar is and how to use it
The Kindness Jar allows you to donate to a selected cause — even if you do not list offers.
Thanks to that, you can support charity goals anytime. All you need to do is click [donate to Kindness Jar] next to the selected fundraiser and pay the amount you wish.
How it works
- Find a fundraiser on Allegro Charytatywni or the list of goals.
- Click [donate to Kindness Jar] next to the selected fundraiser.
- Select the amount, payment method, and click [pay].
Your entire donation will support the selected goal. We do not charge commissions or other fees.
How to add a new goal
- Go to the Fundraising tab and click [add new goal].
- Complete the following:
- name
- description
- the field of aid, such as education or social support
- image — it should be related to the fundraiser's goal. It can also be the logo of your organization.
- Done! The [donate to Kindness Jar] button will appear next to your goal.
A donation is a transfer of money or products by a donor to another person without compensation. It means that both sellers and buyers can be donors in transactions made within charity offers.
When a seller waives the sale price of a product and donates it to a selected fundraiser, we treat this as a donation to a charity organization. As a seller, you become a donor once the buyer pays for the product.
Buyers become donors when they:
- make a voluntary donation in an offer listed by a charity organization or
- increase the payment amount for the product they purchased or bid on within a given fundraiser.
The seller should properly document and/or settle for tax purposes those transactions within charity offers that may qualify as sales.

When you need to issue invoices for items sold as part of Allegro Charytatywni
If you run a business, you must document your sale. This also applies to charity offers.
If you sell items in charity offers, the same rules apply to you as to sales made in regular offers. Thus, if you:
- sell on Allegro as a private person - you do not need to issue documents confirming the transaction
- run a business ― you have to issue a document confirming the sale (a receipt or an invoice).
In the listing form of a charity offer, you can determine whether you issue invoices.
Invoicing by charities
You can list charity offers on Allegro from an regular account. If the entity you represent:
- does not run a business ― you do not need to issue fiscal receipts or invoices
- sales products by way of business ― you have to issue fiscal receipts of invoices.
The same returns terms apply to charity offers as to regular ones. Learn more about rules of returns and complaints.
If you want to refund a buyer, first, you need to ask the buyer for permission to give their personal information to the organization who will be issuing the refund. If the buyer agrees, contact the Charity representative via the Message Center and ask them for the Charity's email address. In the message to the Charity representative provide the following details:
- the buyer's first and last name, as well as their bank account number
- the payment ID - you can find it in the Orders tab – click [show details] next to the order
- the refund amount.
Next, the Charity will refund the buyer directly to their bank account.
