Rules of selling on Allegro
Creating product sets within one offer
You can only list one product within one offer — unless you use the product set option or list that offer in specific categories.
You can list product sets using the listing form or through the API.
You can also use sets created by the manufacturer, in the Allegro Product catalog. In that case, you do not need to add every element of that set as a separate product. Sets created by the manufacturer come with their own EAN (GTIN) codes or manufacturer's codes.
Additionally, you can list more than one product in an offer in selected categories.
Selecting an item from the list
Selecting an item from the list is a situation when the seller sells items that differ from each other in one offer. See the exceptions and examples.
You cannot list in one offer items from which the buyer needs to select a particular variant. It makes shopping more difficult for customers, but also allows you to avoid some listing fees.
If you sell items which differ in, for example, size — list a multivariant offer. Check how to do it.
Examples of offers in which the variant selection is permitted
- Customized items, made to the buyer’s order. In such offers it is possible to select a parameter that depends on the buyer’s needs or likes. The selection cannot include other item features nor affect its price.
Prohibited ads and promoting outside Allegro
If you sell on Allegro, do not offer buyers transactions outside the website, for example, in your own online store.
You cannot use information about buyers and sellers (provided by us in relation to using Allegro) for commercial purposes, consisting of promoting activities outside Allegro in any way, shape, or form.
In particular you are not allowed to:
- submit offers of the purchase or sale of goods outside Allegro (this does not apply to offers referred to in article 3.3 of the Allegro Terms & Conditions)
- set up accounts in online stores for customers whose details you have obtained within a transaction through Allegro.
Forbidden price gouging and buying from your own offers
On Allegro, you cannot buy from your own offers or bid in auctions of your own items. You also should not make a purchase if you do not intend to pay.
On Allegro, you cannot buy from your own offers nor bid in your auctions. Additionally, you cannot buy from other people if you do not intend to pay. Such actions may result in price gouging, falsifying buyers’ interest in your offers, and obtaining false positive ratings and comments for transactions that have never happened.
In particular, you cannot open additional accounts to use them to gouge prices in auctions. If you want to make sure an item is sold over a specific price, set the minimum price.
Transactions between family and friends
People with whom you maintain close relations (family, friends, housemates) cannot buy from you nor bid in your auctions. This applies to all sales formats ― also if you are going to remove the buyer’s bid eventually.
Transactions between linked accounts
If you hold a business account, accounts linked to your business include, for example:
- your regular account
- your employees’ regular accounts
- your business’s other business accounts
- business accounts belonging to businesses related to yours by shares
- other business partners’ regular accounts (if the business account is registered to a business)
- accounts of entities (foundations, associations) managed by your employees.
Trading between linked accounts is forbidden. Remember to inform your employees about that.
Additionally, price gouging is unfair towards people who are truly interested in your offer ― as you force them to pay more. It is also unfair to trade with customers with whom you have personal relations ― they may know more about a listed item than other bidders.
