With this option, you can select the marketplace — Poland (allegro.pl), Czechia (allegro.cz), Slovakia (allegro.sk) or Hungary (allegro.hu). With that, you can read articles about rules applicable to a foreign marketplace in your default language. If you want to browse articles in a different language, click here.
How to automatically manage prices with pricing rules
Thanks to automation, your prices will change according to the rules you set — without editing them manually.
Pricing rules are options that help you manage the offer price without editing it manually. You can set the way the prices will change.
By using the selected type of rules, you can automatically edit prices in the registration marketplace and in the foreign marketplaces. You set rules separately for each marketplace in which the offer is displayed. That means that you can pin several rules to a single offer.
We will apply the rule to convert the price in a given offer only after you pin the rule to an offer.
What if you submit offers for campaigns or programs that affect their base price
We do not automatically change prices in offers that are participating in campaigns or programs that affect their base price. Such campaigns and programs are, for example, AlleDiscount, Allegro Prices, and Smart! Week. That way, temporary price reductions will not affect your pricing. When the campaign in which your offer takes part ends, we will start applying the selected pricing rule again.
What types of pricing rules you can pin to offers
You can use ready-made types of rules:
- Lowest price on Allegro and Lowest price on the market — to edit prices in your registration marketplace and in the foreign marketplaces.
- Price Converter — to edit prices only in the foreign marketplaces.
Based on the above types, you can create your own pricing rules.
You can manage your rules and create new ones:
- in the Automatic Pricing tab
- through the Allegro API.
How the pricing rules based on Price Converter work
Those rules work just like the Price Converter you already know. The Price Converter pricing rule updates the offer price in the selected foreign marketplace based on:
- the offer price in your registration marketplace
- exchange rate information published by the European Central Bank.
How the pricing rules based on Lowest price on Allegro and Lowest price on the market work
The Lowest price on Allegro pricing rule automatically changes the price in your offer based on:
- your product price in the offer
- the current lowest price of the product on Allegro — that we check once an hour
- the price range within which you want to change your price.
The Lowest price on the market pricing rule automatically changes the price in your offer based on:
- your product price in that offer
- the current lowest price of the product on Allegro and in the best online stores — that we check once an hour
- the price range within which you want to change your price.
How to pin a pricing rule to a selected offer
You can pin a pricing rule to a selected offer in the listing form or in the My Assortment tab. From both those locations, you can quickly go to creating new rules.
How to set the pricing rules in the listing form
You will find options regarding pricing rules in the listing form in the Price section. There, we will display the price settings for each marketplace in which you share a given offer.
For the foreign marketplaces, we set the Price Converter rule by default. If, for a given marketplace, you want to:
- opt out of setting the pricing rule — uncheck the box next to the name of the rule. Then, we will unlock the box in which you can enter the price manually.
- change the default settings — click [add rule] or [change rule]. Then, you can select one of the saved rules or go to creating a new one.
In the case of pricing rules based on Lowest price on Allegro and Lowest price on the market, we will ask you to provide the price range. When you do it, click [save].
When you set the pricing rules for all the marketplaces, fill in other fields of the form and list the offer. From that moment, prices in the offer will change according to the set rules.
