On July 22, we will introduce changes to your custom shipping price lists
These changes might affect how you pack and dispatch parcels. See their details and learn how to prepare your price lists for them.
Why we are introducing those changes
We want to make managing your price lists even clearer and more intuitive. We will refresh the design of price lists and make their creation and functionality consistent. We will also remove some features, for example, the options that sellers rarely use.
How it is now
From May 28, you can create custom price lists only using the new method. We have not changed the design or the way to manage your existing custom price lists. You can still use them and all the options that are available within them. If you plan to edit such a price list — you can do it using the same form as before.
What we will change on July 22
We will introduce changes to all old custom price lists. Depending on the options and the rules enabled in them, we will convert them into:
The conversion will be a smooth process. We will link the new price lists to the same offers as the old ones.
How you can prepare for the conversion
In the Delivery Settings tab, we will show you how much time is left until the automatic conversion. From the tab, you can go to the list of price lists to be converted — there, you can find our suggestions for changes and learn which price lists you should pay attention to.
You can:
- browse our recommendations, adjust the price lists to your needs, and convert them manually,
- wait until July 22 — on that day, we will automatically convert your price lists and configure them according to our recommendations.
You will always find up-to-date suggestions for changes on the list of price lists to be converted. We update them based on settings in your price list.
How we convert old price lists into the new ones
We will first check if we can convert your custom price lists into a pre-made shipping price list. If not — we will suggest a conversion into a new custom price list.
When implementing changes, we will try to keep all your settings, but we will not be able to do that in all situations. See the most important changes that might require your action.
If you have set a different maximum number of product units per parcel for each delivery option
In a new price list, you can set the maximum number of units per parcel for the given delivery method:
- to your doorstep — standard
- to your doorstep — large
- to your doorstep — oversized
- to a parcel locker
- to a pick-up point
- mail pieces.
That is why we will check the maximum unit number per parcel you have set for each delivery option from each delivery method and set the highest one.
See an example
You have enabled two courier delivery options in your price list: Allegro DHL Courier and Allegro Pocztex Courier. You have set the maximum unit number per parcel to 4 units for Allegro DHL Courier and 6 for Allegro Pocztex Courier.
After the conversion, the maximum unit number per parcel will be the same for all courier delivery options — 6 units. If a buyer orders 6 products and selects Allegro DHL Courier or Allegro Pocztex Courier — we will generate one shipping label for such an order.
If you know that it might affect how you handle your parcels — set a desired maximum unit number per parcel that will be the same for all delivery options within a delivery method and change your price list manually. You can also change the settings after July 22, when we will automatically introduce changes to your price lists.
Next to the price lists to be converted, in which we will change the maximum unit number per parcel for each delivery method, you will see a special label: Important! See changes in the configuration. Pay particular attention to such price lists.
If you have set a price for an additional unit in a parcel with the delivery options you settle directly with the carrier
You cannot use this option in a new price list anymore. If you have to pay the costs of a larger number of product units in a parcel, include them in the delivery price.
If you have selected multiple countries of dispatch
You can select only one country of dispatch in a new price list. That is why we will consider the delivery options in your price list and:
- set the country of dispatch to the country of your registration marketplace
- remove options with dispatch from other countries — then, we may also stop displaying your offers in additional marketplaces. If you want to dispatch from other countries, create a separate price list for each of them.
In certain cases, you can change the suggested country of dispatch.
See an example
If you have options with dispatch from Poland and Czechia in your price list, and your registration marketplace is allegro.pl — we will set Poland as the country of dispatch and remove all options with dispatch from Czechia from the price list.
Your offers with this price list will not be visible to buyers on allegro.cz.
If you have enabled only options with payment on delivery
In a new price list, you can enable payment on delivery only if you also enable payment in advance. That is why we will also enable payment in advance in the options for which you offer payment on delivery. If you do not want to enable both payment methods for the selected delivery options — remove those options from your price list by July 22 or remove them and convert the price list manually.
In pre-made price lists, we will enable payment on delivery and in advance for all options in the given marketplace.
What happens if you do not convert your old price lists into the new ones manually by July 22
If you do not decide yourself — we will automatically convert your price lists according to our suggestions on July 22.
