How to sell product sets

A product set can consist of:
- multiple units of the same product – in that case, it is called a multipack
- different products.
A customer can only buy the entire product set.
You can manage your product sets in the My Assortment tab. To search for them, use the sets in offers filter.
What the difference between product sets and flexible bundles is
A flexible bundle consists of various offers. A customer can buy the entire bundle or choose a product and different offers from the same category. You can read about flexible bundles in this article.
How to list multipacks (multiple units of the same product)
If you want to sell multiple units of the same product within one offer, use a multipack.
- Go to the listing form.
- In the product search, select the product you want to sell.
- Decide how you want to handle the selected product – on your own or through One Fulfillment.
- Click [complete the form].
- In the Products in offer section, select Multiple units in a set.
- Complete the number of units in a set.
- Complete the remaining fields of the form. Finally, click [list product]. We will mark your offer as a multipack.
How to list sets of different products
If you want to sell different products within one offer – go to the Products in offer section of the listing form and select Single unit. The first product you select will be your main product.
Complete parameters and click [add another product] to create a set. We will display the Add another product to the bundle field. Look it up by its name or code.
When you find the right product, click [add to bundle].
You can add another product or – if your set is ready – click [continue with X products] and complete the form.
You can determine the Condition parameter only for the main product. We will automatically set the same parameter value for all other products in the set. You cannot edit it. What is more, you can complete parameters only for the main product. We will not display the parameters of additional products in the set.
How we display the product sets to buyers
On the search result list
Buyers can use the Bundles filter. When they select show only bundles, we will display available product sets (multipacks and sets of different products) on the search result list. We mark product sets as Set of X units.
We group the same multipacks on the list and show only 1 multipack. That way, buyers can make their choice more easily. At the same time, your customers can quickly access the list of all offers with the same multipack and compare them. All they need to do is click the [see X offers] button next to a single offer or a multipack – then, we will display only a list of single offers or multipacks.
We group sets of different products on the list by the main product in the set.
If you sell multiple units of the same product within one offer but you do not use product sets
We can automatically mark such active offers with the buy now option as product sets. We will do it only if you list offers in selected categories and we are sure you list multiple units of the same product. We will let you know about any of such changes by email.
Product sets allow buyers to buy from you quicker and more easily. They can see right away that the offer is a set and the number of units you are selling.
Does the product set have to consist only of the products from the Allegro Product Catalog?
Yes. If you cannot find your product in the Catalog, you can create it.
How do you charge the transaction rebate (sales commission) for product set?
The transaction rebate (sales commission) for a product set is calculated for the category where you list your offer ― that means, in the case of a set of different products, the one that matches the main product.
Example: You list an offer with a smartphone as its main product. We will charge you the sales commission applicable to the Smartphones and Mobile Phones category.
What if the product parameters are incorrect and I cannot change them?
Contact us. We will verify your report within 2 working days.
What offer title should the offer with a multipack or a product set have?
You do not need to use the word multipack or set, because buyers will see it next to the offer title.
In the case of a product set, all you need to do is combine product names in the title, for example: iPhone 8 + case. If your title exceeds the character limit and you need to make it shorter, make sure you provide the main product name. To describe remaining products in the set, you can write something like + 3 other products or use keywords. Check out our tips on how to create a good offer title.
What happens if the product I have in my set disappears from the Catalog or changes significantly?
- If it concerns the main product — we will unlink your offer from all products and automatically end it. We will not change the offer title, images, parameters, or description.
- If it concerns additional products — we will unlink that specific product from the set. We will not change the offer title, images, parameters, or description.
Can I list a product set created by the manufacturer?
Yes. In that case, you do not need to add every element of that set as a separate product. Sets created by the manufacturer come with their own EANs (GTINs) or manufacturer's codes. We mark them as product sets at once in the Allegro Product Catalog:
If you use ready-made sets from the manufacturer, you can be sure that the products in the set are consistent and complement each other. Often they are packaged together, for example, in an elegant box with the manufacturer’s logo. This can make them more attractive to customers.
