On October 19, we will change the qualification requirements for the Allegro Prices program and the ads we sponsor
We will match each of your offers with an offer from another store that will be a reference point. Learn more.
On October 19, we will start comparing your prices to prices from selected platforms and online stores. If the prices of your products on Allegro are the same or lower than on the selected platform or in the online store, you will gain access to additional benefits:
- the Allegro Prices program — in which we cover a part of the order price so that the buyer can pay less, while your profit stays the same
- the ads for your offers that we sponsor — the ads displayed, for example, on Google, Ceneo, Facebook, and Instagram, for which we select offers and cover the entire ad price.
This will allow us to provide additional support to sellers who help us create the best offers for buyers.
How it will work
We will match and compare each of your offers with an offer from another store. If the price in your offer is the same or lower — we will consider it competitive.
What stores we will compare your offers with
We will take into account the platforms and online stores that the Similar Web report considers the biggest and most important. Among others, this includes stores with which we compare offers on Allegro within the Best Price Guarantee program.
How to check if your prices are competitive
If the prices of over 20% of your products are not competitive now — we will provide you with a personalized report with details. In the report, you will check with which stores we compare a given product from your offer, and whether your price is competitive compared to these stores. This will make it easier to keep your prices on Allegro competitive and qualify for additional benefits.
We share such reports with sellers directly in an email. We sent the first of these messages on September 30. It contained a list of your products with matching reference points — that is, the prices of these products in stores with which we compare your offers. If we did not send you a report on September 30, your prices are currently competitive.
We will provide you with up-to-date reports once a week via email. We are also working on a version of the report that you can access in the Sales Center at any time. We will let you know once we make it available.
From October 19, we will also notify you when the prices of over 20% of your products are not competitive.
What you can do now
- If we have already sent you the report — check the offers mentioned in it. You will find tips on how to improve the competitiveness of your prices and gain additional benefits.
- If you want to compare your prices with the prices of the same product on the market on an ongoing basis and adjust them accordingly, enable the automatic pricing rules in your offers. Thanks to this, the prices in your offers will dynamically change depending on price trends, according to your own rules and conditions. See how it works.
Frequently asked questions
Can I participate in the programs if I offer the same prices on Allegro and in other sales channels?
If the price on Allegro is the same or lower than in the offer we found online and indicated in your personalized report, you will still benefit from the Allegro Prices program and the ads we sponsor. We compare the prices of your products on Allegro to prices in offers from selected platforms and online stores. However, we do not check if you use a given sales channel.
On a different platform, I take part in a promotional program that reduces the price of a product I am selling. Can it lead to excluding my offers from the Allegro Prices program and the ads you sponsor?
We compare the prices available to all buyers. That is why we cannot check whether the price the customer sees results from participating in a program or if you have set it yourself. If your end prices on another platform are lower than the ones on Allegro, we can exclude you from the Allegro Prices program and the ads we sponsor.
How do you compare the prices of products I sell in a set?
If you sell product sets, we check the price separately for each product in the set.
How can I make sure my price is competitive?
- Check the data in your personalized report regularly. You will learn which online offers we compare your offers with and what prices you can set to be competitive.
- Consider enabling automatic pricing rules that follow the market prices. You can use our Automatic Pricing tool or external solutions.
Is this policy not a form of price fixing?
No. We want to ensure buyers can find the lowest possible prices on Allegro. In this context, we invest our own funds — we reduce prices in offers within the Allegro Prices program and sponsor display ads of the best offers in Google. At the same time, sellers are entirely free to set their own pricing policies. It is the seller who decides on the final prices of the products they offer.
