New packaging regulations: you can provide EPR numbers now
See what obligations the new law imposes on you.
The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) comes into effect on August 12. It will oblige sellers with manufacturer status to provide EPR registration numbers to e-commerce platforms such as Allegro.
Many factors decide whether someone is a packaging manufacturer — you may be categorized as such even if you do not consider yourself a manufacturer in the usual understanding. A packaging manufacturer is a producer, importer, or distributor who is the first to place a packaged product or the packaging itself on the market in the given country. Learn more.
What this means for you
If you are a packaging manufacturer, according to the new law, you must:
- provide us with your EPR register number, a separate one for each country to which you dispatch your products — enter it in the form as the PPWR number (EPR PPWR / BDO)
- accept the declaration of conformity of packaging with EU requirements.

If you do not provide an EPR number, we will not be able to display it in your offers, and your sales will not be compliant with the EU law.
