From today, you can no longer specify the maximum parcel weight for MiniParcel
Today, we have removed the field with the maximum parcel weight for the MiniParcel option.
It means that, starting today, we will calculate MiniParcel delivery costs for buyers outside Smart! based only on the maximum quantity per parcel.
Starting today, you can create shipping price lists only using the new method. In the new form, you will not specify the maximum package weight for the MiniParcel option. The way you specify the maximum unit number per parcel will also change.
Why we are introducing changes to the price lists
We want to make managing your price lists even clearer and more intuitive — that is why we are introducing changes to their design and functionality.
We will remove the features that sellers rarely use — for example, the field where you can enter the maximum parcel weight for the MiniParcel option.
What it means for you if you specify the maximum parcel weight for the MiniParcel option in your shipping price list
We removed the field for the parcel's maximum weight from your shipping price lists. It means that the way we calculate the delivery cost for MiniParcel for buyers outside Smart! has changed.
How it worked until now
When calculating MiniParcel delivery cost, we considered the maximum number of units per parcel and the maximum parcel weight (if provided). If the parcel exceeded one of those values, we charged another parcel cost.
What has changed today
We will charge an additional MiniParcel delivery fee only if the number of units in an order exceeds the maximum number of units per parcel you specified.
In new custom price lists, instead of setting limits for each individual delivery option, you will set the maximum unit number per parcel for the given delivery method: by courier, to pick-up points, or to parcel lockers.
You will find more details in our article about the new design of shipping price lists.
