How to create and share discount coupons for buyers

Coupons make your offers more attractive. Thanks to them, you will stand out from the crowd ― your offers will gain a dedicated badge that will lure more buyers.

If you enable coupons in your offers, we will display them on offer lists and on the offer page, among others. Buyers will see a dedicated badge:

When you can create a coupon campaign

You can create a coupon campaign if:

Each campaign you create will have dedicated terms of promotion for the buyers. However, you do not need to write it from scratch! We will generate it based on the details you provide us with in the form.

How coupons work

You cannot edit or remove an ongoing campaign

You can remove only a planned campaign. Before you create a campaign, make sure its parameters are in line with your expectations. Once you have created a campaign, you cannot edit the terms of promotion for the buyers.

  • The buyer sees a special coupon badge on the offer list, offer page, or this page.
  • In the offer or on this page they click [Odbierz kupon] (Claim the coupon) ― this is how a coupon gets assigned to their account.
  • In the payment and delivery form, the buyer deducts the coupon discount from the price ― and you will receive the product price reduced by the coupon amount.
  • To redeem a coupon, the customer has to select at least two offers from your store included in a given campaign, no matter whether a single offer has met the minimum order value.
  • One offer can only take part in one campaign. That means, we will never display several coupons in one offer.
  • The buyer may claim and use a coupon just once and in the full amount.
  • The buyer can use the coupon only for offers with the buy now option. You cannot add the coupon to an auction – even if you have enabled the buy now option.
  • The buyer cannot return a coupon.
  • In each offer, only one coupon may be available.
  • In one campaign, a buyer can claim only one coupon.

How to create a campaign and add coupons to offers

Open the Coupons. Then, complete the two-step form:

In the first step:

  1. Name your campaign ― the campaign name will be displayed in the terms of campaign for buyers.
  2. Determine the scope of the campaign:
    • All offers — if you select this option, we will display one coupon you set in all offers from your Allegro store. To meet the minimum order value, the buyer will be able to select any offer from your store.
    • Offer categories — if you select this option, we will display the coupons you set in the categories selected to take part in a campaign. To meet the minimum order value, the buyer will be able to select offers only from the categories you have marked.
    • Single offers — if you select this option, we will display the coupons you set only in the selected offers. To meet the minimum order value, the buyer will be able to select offers only from those you selected to take part in the campaign.

In the next step:

  1. Specify the duration of the campaign ― when the buyer can claim and use a coupon.
  2. Select the coupon type and value.
  3. Determine a minimum order value that entitles buyers to use their coupons. The coupon value should be at least 5% of the minimum order value ― check out an example.
Percentage-based coupons and the minimum order value

You will create percentage-based coupon campaigns in almost the same way as campaigns with fixed-amount coupons. However, you do not have to enter the minimum order value for percentage-based coupons — it is optional.

  1. Determine how many coupons are available in the campaign ― anywhere from 100 and 10,000 (keep in mind that not all buyers will use their coupons).

We will let you know if:

  • the campaign you are creating includes offers submitted to other campaigns
  • the duration of this campaign overlaps with the duration of other campaigns.

We will also remind you that in a given offer, we will display the coupon from the campaign that launches first. If the first campaign ends while the next one is still running, we will automatically launch that campaign the offer.

Then, accept the terms of coupon service ― based on which you can create a campaign ― and click [utwórz] (create). Then, we will display the terms of your campaign for buyers ― based on the form you have just completed. They will be linked in each coupon. Read it and click [zaakceptuj] (accept). Done! Coupons are already available in your offers and ready for buyers to use.

The buyer will use the discount coupons if they add to the cart at least 2 products from your offer of the combined value of at least the minimum value you have set for that campaign.

Frequently asked questions

We will not charge you any fee. You only bear the costs of coupons that the buyers use.

The customer can redeem a coupon until the end of the coupon campaign. Example: The campaign runs from April 24 to April 27. The customer received the coupon on April 24. It is valid until April 27, by the end of the day.

To a single coupon campaign, you can add up to 100 offers at a time. You just need to upload them in a CSV file. You can generate it in any software supporting spreadsheets — simply save the spreadsheet as a file with a CSV extension. The file must include only offer IDs.

A coupon campaign turns off automatically if:

  • buyers claim all available coupons
  • your sales quality drops below Neutral.

Yes. Regardless of whether the coupon is valid until the expected end of the campaign or for a determined number of days ― the coupon expiration date does not change.

You cannot change the terms of an ongoing campaign nor remove it. You can only remove a planned campaign.

A buyer can use a coupon if they add to the cart at least 2 products from your offer of the combined value of at least the minimum value you have set for that campaign.

The coupon value must be at least 5% of the minimum order value you determine for your campaign. Example: if the minimum order value is 100 PLN, the lowest coupon value you can choose is 5 PLN. If the minimum order value is 200 PLN, the lowest coupon value you can choose is 10 PLN.

We will charge it on the sale amount reduced by the coupon value.

Yes, but you need to set each campaign for different categories.

If returning some products in the order makes the eventual order value lower than the minimum order value for the coupon campaign, the discount is not cancelled for the remaining products that the buyer has not returned.

No, the coupon covers only the order value.

You cannot create coupon campaigns for the Gift Cards category.

If you sell on Allegro Business and you create coupon campaigns, your business customers will not see the coupons in offers. To see coupons in offers, Allegro Business buyers should select consumer view in the Account section.
