Buy Now and auctions
When you ― as a seller ― can remove a bid from an ongoing auction
You can cancel bids in your auctions. There are rules ― specific cases where this is allowed.
You can remove a bid in an ongoing auction only in extraordinary situations
- When an auctioned item has been stolen or destroyed.
- Remember that you, as a seller, are responsible for an auctioned item not being damaged or stolen during an auction. If you secure an item properly, you may avoid problems with honoring an agreement after ending an auction.
- When the bidder asked you to cancel their bid.
- When you do not trust the bidder.
Removed bids are not visible on the offer page. If you want to remove a bid, you need to provide a reason for it every single time. Make sure the reason is described precisely and accurately.
In the following categories, you can remove the bid only on the bidder’s request:
- Fashion > Clothing, Shoes, Accessories > Women's Clothing > Shirts
- Fashion > Clothing, Shoes, Accessories > Women's Clothing > Sweaters
- Fashion > Clothing, Shoes, Accessories > Men's Clothing > Shirts
- Collections and Art > Investment Products
- Collections and Art > Antiques and Art > Painting
- Collections and Art > Collections > Numismatics.
How to remove a bid
- Open the My Assortment tab.
- Find an auction from which you want to remove a bid.
- Hover over [Actions] to expand the menu and click [Odwołaj oferty] (Remove bids).
- Select which bid you want to remove, enter the reason for it, and click [Odwołaj] (Remove).
You can remove bids at any moment during the auction.
Buy now and an auction – what are these sales formats?
On Allegro you can sell within the options: buy now and an auction. Selling and buying in each of these sales formats is slightly different.
On Allegro, you can sell items with a fixed price within the kup teraz (buy now) option, or in an auction.
Kup teraz (buy now)
You set a fixed price for which a customer can purchase an item.
Auction
You do not know the final price for which you will sell an item. The buyers place offers and outbid others until the auction terminates. You can set a minimum price – if no one offers a higher price, the offers in this auction will not be binding and the item will not be sold.
Auction with the kup teraz (buy now) option
The buyers can bid or buy an item immediately for a fixed price. The kup teraz (buy now) option disappears if:
- the first purchase offer appears and you did not set a minimum price
- the minimum price is achieved if you set one.
Hint
You can set the delivery cost for all the sales formats separately and independently from the item price. A buyer usually bears the delivery cost, but you can offer free delivery.
