How to create the product description

In the listing form, you can add product images and create a description that will be displayed legibly on each device. You can also edit the layout and format the text.

The available editor allows you to create clear offer descriptions, which can be properly displayed on different devices, including mobiles. The editor is easy to use and makes it possible to enter text and images in five different layouts.

Images and product description from the Catalog

To add ready-to-use images and descriptions from the Allegro Product Catalog, in the Images and description section, click [add images and description from the catalog].

You can freely edit the descriptions and images you download from the Catalog.

If you are a manufacturer or distributor of given products, you are welcome to provide us with their details. With that, we ensure that the information in the Catalog is reliable. Check how to do it.

Custom images

You can add images to your product description in the Images and description section of the listing form. You can only upload images from a computer. You cannot add images from external websites. Images you add should comply with standards.

If you hold a business account — you can add up to 16 images. If you hold a regular account — you can add up to 10 images.

Custom description in the editor

Choose the layout and length of a description. Create a description by adding subsequent lines in a selected layout.

Description layouts

Use one of the icons in the editor and select a preferable layout for a given line:

  • text only
  • image only
  • image and text — text on the right, image on the left
  • text and image — text on the left, image on the right
  • two images.
More lines

To add another line, click [add another line]. You may also repeat the same line – click [duplicate line]. The duplicated line may have a different layout and content.

Line position
  • remove the line
  • duplicate the line
  • move line up — one click to move the whole line (block) of text and/or images up in the description
  • move line down — one click to move the whole line (block) of text and/or images down in the description.
Text formatting

The following options will help you format your text:

  • text style (basic text, heading 1, heading 2)
  • bold
  • bulleted list
  • numbered list
  • undo
  • redo.
Translations

You can translate each offer description into:

  • Polish
  • Czech
  • Ukrainian
  • Slovak.
