From October 1, we will display only the product list in search results to all buyers
See what changes we plan to introduce and how they can affect your sales.
We want to make it easier and quicker for buyers to find the product they are searching for and compare all the offers containing this product. That is why we keep enabling the default product list view to more and more buyers. Currently, about 70% of logged in customers already use the product list to purchase on Allegro.
What we will change
From October 1, we will display only the product list to all buyers. It means that buyers will not be able to switch from the product list to the list of offers. However, they will still be able to view the list of all offers of a given product — by clicking [compare X offers]. Buyers will also see the list of your offers when they go to the All seller’s items section.

Why we are doing it
Our tests show that the buyers who use the product list:
- are more eager to add products to cart and buy them more often (it means we expect at least 6 million additional transactions per year for sellers on Allegro)
- find what they are looking for faster — we have combined offers of the same product, which has created space for average of approximately 4 times more products in search results. It means buyers have access to a wider selection of assortment and can easily reach offers of all sellers with the same product.
What it means for you
If your offer is a Top offer — which makes it a product representative — you can expect more buyers to view it. Top offers increase sales by an average of 5 times.
With [compare X offers], buyers also have access to offers from more sellers from each search results page.
Frequently asked questions
When selecting Top offers, the algorithm takes into account many factors that can be divided into six groups:
- price — the lower, the better. Moreover, the Best Price Guarantee badge Increases the chances of your offer becoming the Top offer
- offer promotion — promoted offers get priority in the Top offer selection process
- offer quality:
- product condition — new products have higher chances of becoming Top offers
- sales format — offers in the buy now format have higher chances of becoming Top offers
- thumbnail that meets our requirements
- sales quality
- buyers’ involvement
- expected delivery time — offers with a shorter expected delivery time have higher chances of becoming Top offers.

We analyze data considered while selecting the Top offer on an ongoing basis. Any change — for example, if the expected delivery time is extended — triggers reevaluation. That is why the offer representing a given product may change frequently.
Price is one of the factors that the algorithm analyzes when selecting Top offers. That is why make sure that your offer prices are competitive. However, price is not the only factor that we take into account — not only the cheapest offer has a chance to become the Top offer.
You can use the new Automatic Pricing tool which will help you set pricing rules. This way you can automate the pricing process for your offers.
Offers promoted on the product list continue to be more visible, just like on the offer list, but in a slightly different way:
- promoted offers have priority in the competition for becoming the Top offer
- product's position is higher in search results
- offer's position on the list of all offers for a given product is higher.
What also remains unchanged, is the visibility on the category page, the possibility to access Allegro paid campaigns on Google, or 0% interest installments.
Promoted offers have priority in the selection process for the Top offer — and the Top offer position increases sales by an average of 5 times.
But that is not all — promoting an offer means it will be displayed at the beginning of the list of all offers with a given product and will be visible on the category page. It is also a possibility to get access to Allegro paid campaigns on Google or 0% installments.
We display Allegro Ads sponsored offers on the product list as usual — except only one offer per product can be displayed among all sponsored offers. To select that offer from all advertised offers, we use the same criteria as for selecting the Top offer and additionally include the maximum cost per click you can pay.
It is possible to achieve the greatest effects in increasing sales by using promoted offers and sponsored offers at the same time. As many as 44% of promoted offers are also Allegro Ads sponsored offers. That is why you do not have to choose between two options, but use both — especially for offers with a significant sales potential.
