You can manage your pricing rules in bulk using a CSV file
We have added another way to turn automatic pricing on or off in your offers.
Until now, you could enable and disable pricing rules in offers:
- in the listing form
- in the My Assortment tab
- in the Automatic pricing tab
- through an integration with our API.
We have added another method to this list. Now, you can send us a CSV file with up to 40,000 changes in your offers. This way, you can conveniently edit the rules and price ranges in multiple offers at once. This solution can be particularly useful if you do not use an integration with our API and need another way to manage automatic pricing quickly.
What you can change using a CSV file
With a CSV file, you can:
- enable a pricing rule in an offer
- disable a pricing rule in an offer
- change a pricing rule in an offer to a different one
- set a price range for an offer with a pricing rule enabled.
You can manage all the pricing rules this way — both the default ones and those you create yourself.
How to manage pricing rules with a CSV file
- Go to the Automatic Pricing tab.
- Below the list of rules, go to the [download and upload file] section.
- If you want, select a specific pricing rule. The file will then only include your offers with that rule enabled. If you do not select a rule, the file will include all your offers with any pricing rule enabled.
- Click [download the file].
- Open the downloaded file on your computer and make the changes. See what information will be necessary.
- In the Automatic Pricing tab, use the [drag or drop a file on your disk] option to send us the edited file.
- Done! Go to the [reports] tab to check whether we have successfully processed the file you sent. There, you will find the status of the uploaded file and download a report with errors — if there were any.
The changes will be visible in your offers within 2 hours.
What information you can provide in the CSV file
The file you can download in the Automatic Pricing tab will contain information about your offers and the pricing rules enabled in them. You can edit it to change the pricing rules in your offers, but you cannot remove some information from the file completely.
In the completed CSV file you upload, each offer must have:
- offer ID
- pricing rule ID — you will find it in the Automatic Pricing tab, below the name of each rule
- the marketplace in which you want to adjust the pricing rule in that offer
- operation type:
- SET — if you enable or change a rule in that offer
- REMOVE — if you disable a rule in that offer.
In the rules based on Lowest price on Allegro and Top offer, you can also specify the price range — put it in the CSV file as the minimum price, maximum price, and the currency of these prices.
The price range currency can differ from the sales currency in a given marketplace. For example, you can set a price range in PLN for a rule on allegro.cz. We will convert it into CZK at the current exchange rate and adjust your price if it falls outside this range after the conversion.
You can also complete the price range later, but the pricing rule in the offer will not work until you do so.
