What an intra-Community supply of goods is
An intra-Community supply of goods is a purchase between two companies from the EU.
Your account needs to be verified in terms of intra-Community supply of goods before a seller can issue you a 0% VAT invoice for such a purchase. It is one of the conditions that might help you get a 0% VAT invoice.
Who can make intra-Community purchases on Allegro Business
To purchase on Allegro Business within an intra-Community supply of goods and be eligible for 0% VAT invoices, you must have:
- an active business account
- an active EU VAT identification number in the VIES database — we check it when we verify the account in terms of intra-Community purchases
- a verified account for intra-Community purchases — it will help the seller decide how to settle the transaction for tax purposes.
If you make purchases with invoices on a regular account and want to have an option to make B2B intra-Community purchases with a 0% VAT rate — you have to convert your account to a business account.
How to check if your business account is verified for intra-Community supply of goods
You can check that in the Company details tab in the Sales Center. To access it, expand the menu next to your login.
If you see the following status next to your tax number (NIP):
- Data verified for intra-Community transactions (0% VAT) — we have verified your account and you do not have to do anything else.
- Data not verified for intra-Community transactions (0% VAT) — we have not verified your account, you need to undergo verification.
If your account is not verified for intra-Community purchases and you want to be able to receive 0% VAT invoices within an intra-Community supply of goods — proceed to verification.
Verifying your account makes it easier for the seller to decide how to settle a given transaction regarding tax.
How to verify the account for an intra-Community supply of goods
- In the Account settings, go to the Your data section and click [change].
- Check the company details and EU VAT identification number:
- in Poland, it is the NIP number: 999999999
- in Czechia, it is the DIČ tax identification number: CZ99999999.
- If you provide a different number during registration, correct it — click [edit company details]. In the VAT number field, provide your EU VAT identification number.
- Make a verification transfer from your business account:
- Make sure that the bank account details match your company details. Enter the SWIFT/BIC code.
- To confirm your bank account, select one of the following options:
- signing in on the bank website and sharing details from the bank account for verification — the quickest method
- online bank transfer
- standard/postal transfer — takes up to a few days.
- In the case of a standard transfer, make a payment for the lowest amount allowed by your bank. The amount you transfer will return to your account within a few days.
- If the transfer details match those provided on Allegro, you have successfully passed the first stage of verification!
- If there is an error during verification or the application gets rejected, for example, because of data inconsistency, you will see the respective information. Then, you can correct your application or submit a new one immediately.
When we verify your account, we will also check your EU VAT identification number in the VIES database. If it is active, your account will receive the following status: Data verified for intra-Community transactions (0% VAT).
Verification will be successful if your Allegro account details match the data provided in the VIES database.
How to make intra-Community purchases on Allegro Business
- Go to business.allegro.pl or business.allegro.cz.
- Add selected products to the cart.
- In the Invoice section, select or provide invoice details. Next, click [buy and pay].
