We have introduced a local surcharge on retail sales on allegro.hu
On January 1, 2025, Hungary introduced an additional retail sales tax for companies, including foreign ones, operating — like Allegro — on the Hungarian market through online platforms. The obligation to collect this tax was imposed on the platforms. Consequently, we have introduced an additional fee to our price list. We will not profit from this fee — we will transfer the tax to the relevant authorities without charging any margin.
The surcharge rate is 3.6% net (4.43% gross) of the product price and cost of delivery selected by the buyer. We charge it just like the sales commission — the moment a purchase is made in an offer on allegro.hu.
We have not introduced this fee on allegro.pl, allegro.cz, or allegro.sk.

We have introduced unified rules of product complaints within the Complaints and Returns Policy
How it worked before
- If you sold on a business account, you could provide your own description of the terms of complaints. It was displayed in the Complaint section of your offers.
- You could refund customers through the Funds and Operations history tab. According to the Allegro Returns Policy, the only exception was payment on delivery transactions on allegro.pl.
What we have changed
Regarding the terms of complaints:
- unified rules for product complaints described in the Complaints and Returns Policy apply to all offers on Allegro. It has replaced the previous Returns Policy. The Allegro Terms & Conditions oblige all sellers with a business account on allegro.pl, allegro.cz, and allegro.sk to comply with the new rules.
- when you list new offers, we automatically complete the Complaints sections with the Allegro terms of complaints.
- if you provideed your own terms of complaints in offers, there is a transition period from June 30 to July 30. In that period, the Complaint section features the new unified terms and the terms you provided. After July 30, we will automatically remove your terms, and only the unified terms compliant with the Complaints and Returns Policy will remain. You will be obliged to follow them.
Regarding customer refunds:
- starting July 1, you are obliged to issue refunds to buyers through the Funds and Operations history tab. For orders with payment on delivery, the money will be refunded to the bank account provided by the buyer in the form.
What it means for you
It wis much easier to process a complaint. You can take advantage of the new tools available in the Complaints and Discussions with buyers tab and through the Allegro API — at no extra cost.
The new features allows you to handle complaints faster by predefining actions — such as requesting to complete details, requesting to send the product back, and accepting or rejecting the complaint. We display information about the deadline for each action, which will help you handle requests efficiently.
Handling complaints has also become more transparent for buyers, as they can see all statuses and information about required actions in real time. Consequently, they may contact you less frequently.
Sellers who register on Allegro after July 1 will not have to create their own terms of complaints and will be able to begin sales more easily.

We have lowered the fee for a Feature in certain subcategories
How it worked before
We charged a fee of 19.90 PLN for a 10-day Feature of offers listed in the following subcategories:
- Women's Jewelry
- Men's Jewelry
- Children's Jewelery
- Wedding Jewelry
- Piercing
- Clothing, Footwear, Accessories
- the Footwear subcategory of the Kids category
- the Clothing subcategory of the Kids category
- the Erotic Lingerie and Clothing subcategory in the Health category.
If you created a multi-variant offer from the offers listed in those subcategories — we charged a fee of 5.90 PLN for a 10-day Feature of each offer within the multi-variant offer.
What we have changed
We charge a Feature fee of 5.90 PLN for offers listed in the subcategories mentioned above — whether they are multi-variant offers or not.

We have changed the way of displaying promoted products in sorting by relevance
How it worked before
We displayed promoted products in the upper part in a separate section of the search results: Promoted products.
What we have changed
We want the search results to match the buyers' queries even better. In sorting by relevance, we still take into account whether a given product is promoted. However, we no longer display promoted products in a separate section. This change will not significantly affect the visibility of promoted offers.
If the buyer sorts by relevance, promoted products that match their query will still have a better chance of being placed higher in the search results than products that are not promoted. Promoted offers will also have a better chance of becoming Top offers.
The Promoted products section is still displayed to buyers who select other sorting types — for example, sorting by price.

We have updated the parcel dimensions in the Allegro International Czechia price list
The dimensions of the locker compartments in parcel lockers in Czechia has changed. Consequently, we have reduced the maximum dimensions and weight of parcels dispatched from Poland with the delivery options below.

Before, if you dispatchd a parcel at a parcel locker, the dimensions of the parcels depended on their size categories (S, M, L, XL, XXL). For the Allegro International Czechia Pick-up Point delivery option, we have unified the maximum parcel dimensions to 64 x 38 x 41 cm, and the maximum weight to 15 kg, including the packaging.
We have also changed the parcel dimensions to which — as before — there is a surcharge:
- for the Allegro International Czechia Courier delivery option — if the parcel exceeds: 120 cm (the longest side), 220 cm (the maximum sum of three sides) and 30 kg (the maximum weight)
- for the Allegro International Czechia Pick-up Point delivery option — if the parcel exceeds the following dimensions: 64 x 38 x 41 cm
- Allegro International Czechia Parcel Lockers — if the parcel exceeds the following dimensions: 43 x 33 x 57 cm, and the maximum weight 15 kg.
The surcharge amount remains the same.

We have updated the procedure for changing VAT billing information for invoicing purposes
If:
- your registered office is located in one of the EU countries outside Poland or
- as a foreign entity, you have a fixed establishment in Poland
you are required, among others, to submit documents confirming that you are registered as a VAT taxpayer — in the country where your registered office is located or in Poland — and complete a form in the Tax information tab. Next, we check the documents you submit.
If:
- as a foreign entity, you submit a declaration on the fixed establishment for VAT purposes in Poland or
- as an entity from one of the EU countries outisde Poland, you submit a request about the EU VAT number
then the declaration and the request are effective in the billing period in which we receive and successfully verify them. This applies both to the first declaration you submit and to its modifications.
What we have changed
Both declarations become effective from the billing period following the period in which we successfully verify them.
