Now, we check if the offer description matches the language in your location settings
Before listing your offer, we will check if its description language matches the language selected in your location settings.
The language used to complete an offer is set automatically according to your location settings on Allegro. For example, if your account language is set to Polish, it will be the base language for your offer and you need to provide the offer description in it.
Why it is important
The description in the base language is used to automatically translate the offer for buyers viewing it in other languages. This is why, if you provide the description in a language different than the offer's base language, it will not be translated correctly.
How it worked before
Before, we did not check if the provided description was in the correct language.
What we have changed
From now on, we will check if the language of your offer description matches the one selected in your location settings. If not — correct that offer description and provide it in the language that matches the one selected in your settings.
If you fail to do it within 2 weeks, after March 5, we may terminate your offers with an incorrect description.
Why we are doing it
By introducing this change, we want to increase the quality of automatic translations of offer descriptions visible to buyers in foreign marketplaces.
