From July 18, we will start introducing changes to the Size parameter
That change will allow us to organize the values available in the Size parameter.
In April and May 2024, we removed a part of the values from the Size parameter in selected categories. On July 18, we will introduce further changes to that parameter.
What we will do
From July 18, we will start removing the following from the Size parameter in further categories:
- values from different size tables that refer to the same size — for example, British sizes like 8 or 10
- values that do not match the assortment of a given subcategory — for example, the size 1 available in Men's Clothing — Elegant Vests
- values: nonstandard and other.
You can find the list of the subcategories and values of the Size parameter that will be available in this file. The one we sent you by email on July 4 is incorrect.
Additionally, in the Men's Clothing — Suits and Men's Clothing — Elegant Vests categories, we will adjust the size format to the one that applies in a given marketplace. For example, we will mark the size 188-100/90 as 188/100/90, and the size 170-92/82 as 170/92.
What it means for you
If you provide values that will be removed in the Size parameter — they will not be visible in your offers. It means that buyers will not see the information about size in the section with parameters on the offer page.
The Size parameter is obligatory — complete it in your offers as soon as possible. You can do it in the Add Parameters tab. Until you do that, you will not be able to relist offers or save changes in them. We will also not relist them automatically.
What you can do now
Edit your offers and change those values of the Size parameter that we are about to remove.
Why we are doing it
By introducing those changes, we will organize the values available within the Size parameter. It will be easier for buyers to look up offers with the size they are looking for. If you provide the correct value in the Size parameter, your offers may become more appealing to customers.
