Can I place ads or announcements in the offer description?
We treat placing some information in the offer description as an advertisement or announcement. See examples of descriptions that violate Allegro's principles.
In the offer description you cannot:
- place ads (in particular those advertising your business outside Allegro)
- promote products or services whose sales on Allegro is forbidden
- suggest selling outside Allegro
- forbid buyers to place bids in your auctions
- air your own opinions.
Check examples of content forbidden in the offer description
- advertisement offers, for example: “Auto-naprawa, sprzedaż i wymiana części. Dzwoń!” (“Car repair, spare parts sale and change. Call us!”)
- announcement offers, for example: “To jest oferta informacyjna. Nie licytuj!” (“This is only for your information. Do not place bids!”)
- offers where you do not sell any particular item but just inform buyers about something: “Nie kupujcie u użytkownika XYZ – jest nieuczciwy”, „To nie jest właściwa oferta, nie licytuj. Aby zakupić materac zajrzyj na ofertę nr xxx” (“Do not buy from XYZ — they are a scammer”, “This is not a proper offer, do not place bids.”, “In order to buy the mattress, check out offer xxx”)
- offers where you advertise your whole assortment, for example: “Przedmiotem licytacji jest kierownica. Mamy też inne części do Fiata, pytaj!” (“The subject of this auction is a steering wheel. Ask us about other Fiat parts in our assortment”)
- offers where you propose item exchange or declare you want to buy something, for example: “Sprzedam lub zamienię Nokię 6020” (“I will sell or exchange a Nokia 6020”).
