Soon, we will change the parameters that you use to specify the colors of Laptops
Get ready for the upcoming changes to the Color parameter in the Laptops subcategory. They will help you specify the color of your products more precisely and provide the manufacturer's color.
What will change from May 5
We will replace the current Color parameter in the Laptops subcategory with two new parameters:
- Main color
- Manufacturer's color name — there, you will provide the manufacturer's original trade name. For example, stellar gray or arctic white.
Neither of these two parameters will be mandatory for you — just like the current Color parameter.
What this means for you
We will automatically move the current Color parameter value, such as white, to the Main Color parameter.
What you can do
Until May 4, you can edit the Color parameter in your offers and select the single most accurate value. To reduce the risk of an incorrect assignment by our system, make sure you use a valid parameter value in your offers that most accurately reflects the laptop's actual appearance.
What you will gain
You will be able to choose from a wider range of colors and provide their original names. Thanks to it:
- you will increase your offers' visibility — products will better match the search filters
- you will establish a professional image — a precise color name from the manufacturer makes an offer more reliable
- you will avoid misunderstandings — a precise color description means fewer questions from customers and fewer returns.
Buyers will find devices with a specific look more easily — for example, using filters. This way, you will increase the chances that they will buy from you.
