See how the Automatic Price Converter works and how to start using it
You can use this new option if you have a Professional or Expert Subscription.
From today, you can use the Automatic Price Converter to automatically update prices in the offers where you enabled a pricing rule based on the Price Converter — if the currency exchange rate changes by at least 1% since the last bulk update of prices.
From today, you will also see the information about the latest conversions, divided among marketplaces, in the Automatic Pricing tab.
If you already have the Professional or Expert Subscription
Today, we have enabled the Price Converter in your offers if you:
- added a pricing rule based on the Price Converter to those offers
- at least once used the [convert prices] option in the Marketplaces tab in My Assortment to convert prices in a given currency in bulk.
If you have never converted the prices in your offers
To enable the Automatic Price Converter, you need to convert the prices in bulk in a given marketplace at least once. Click [convert prices] in the Marketplaces tab in My Assortment.
If you do not want to use the Automatic Price Converter — you can disable it at any time in the Automatic Pricing tab.
If you do not have the Professional or Expert subscription
You can still use the current version of the Price Converter and convert prices in bulk manually.
How to enable the Automatic Price Converter
- Purchase the Professional or Expert Subscription in the Subscriptions tab.
- Add a Price Converter rule or your own rule based on the Price Converter to the offers you want to use the Automatic Price Converter in — if you have not yet enabled this rule in a given offer.
- Click [convert prices] in the My Assortment tab.
How the Automatic Price Converter works
If the currency exchange rate changes by more than 1% in relation to the last bulk update of prices — we will automatically adjust the price in the currency of that foreign marketplace in all offers with the Price Converter enabled, including all offers:
- where you set your own rule based on the Price Converter
- where you enabled the Price Converter while sharing the offer in the foreign marketplaces.
Just like before, we will also convert the prices in the offers with the Price Converter enabled when you:
- change the price in your registration marketplace
- relist the offer — if it has expired
- edit the pricing rule pinned to that offer — if you use your own pricing rule.
What the last bulk update of prices is
It is the moment when we last updated prices in the offers:
- when you used the [convert prices] option in the Marketplaces tab in My Assortment
or
- automatically, because the currency exchange rate changed by at least 1% in relation to the last bulk update.
When we will convert prices
We will do it each time the reference exchange rate, announced by the European Central Bank on the day before the day of the currency conversion, changes by more than 1% in relation to the last bulk update.
If the exchange rate changes today by more than 1% in relation to your last bulk update of prices — today, the Automatic Price Converter will update the prices in your offers with a pricing rule based on the Price Converter.
