October 1, we will adapt sales on Allegro to the requirements of the deposit-refund system
The deposit-refund system will be introduced in Poland on October 1, based on the European Parliament's directive and the regulation of the Polish Minister of Climate and Environment. Our article contains the latest information on the system.
As we announced earlier, new obligations will apply to all entrepreneurs in Poland who sell beverages in packaging covered by the deposit, that is:
- single-use plastic bottles up to 3 liters
- metal cans up to 1 liter
- reusable glass bottles up to 1.5 liters.
What it means for you
If you sell products that are subject to the new regulations on Allegro, you are obliged to:
- mark your offers correctly — separately for the products with and without the deposit
- charge the deposit from buyers at the moment of purchase — you will get the deposit amount together with money from sales
- provide information in the offer description that each product purchased online can be returned at any collection point — for example, reverse vending machines, big grocery stores, or other points designated by local authorities.
