From March 23, we will automatically complete the new parameters in your offers
Learn more about the upcoming changes to the Color parameter in the Hanging Lamps subcategory.
What will change on March 23
In the Hanging Lamps subcategory:
- the Color parameter will be replaced by a new mandatory parameter — Dominant Color
- there will be a new non-mandatory parameter — Additional Color.
You will only be able to select one value for both of these parameters.
What it means for you
If you have listed an offer in the Hanging Lamps subcategory and completed the Color parameter with:
- only one value, for example, white — we will display it as the value of the Dominant Color parameter
- two values, for example, black and white — we will select the value of the Dominant Color parameter based on the image and description. In that case, we will set the other value as the Additional Color.
- more than two values, for example black, white, and golden — we will use the image and description to select two values that we will set in the Dominant Color and Additional Color parameters. If we cannot determine the dominant color, we will set multicolor as the value.
- the other color value — we will use the image and description to select the value of the Dominant Color parameter.
What you can do
If you provided several product colors in offers from that subcategory, edit them and — if possible — select no more than 2 dominant colors in the Color parameter. This will allow us to complete the new parameter values more easily.
Why we are doing it
This change will allow you to provide a more precise color of the lamps you sell — by making the parameter values match the descriptions and images available in your offers. Consequently, buyers will be able to reach your offers more easily — for example, by using filters. This may convince them to make a purchase from you.
