Electronic invoices — frequently asked questions
If you get invoices from Allegro, you can choose to receive e-invoices, sent by e-mail.
1. What is an e-invoice?
E-invoice is a digital invoice issued by us — Allegro.pl. A file containing an e-invoice has the same legal force as a regular invoice. If you need to, you can present it in the Tax Office to account for all fees charged for Allegro services. You can find e-invoices in the Invoices tab.
2. Will I get one e-invoice for sales in all marketplaces?
No. We will issue separate invoices for sales in each marketplace — for all the marketplaces you sell in. We issue e-invoices in the relevant currency.
3. How to switch from a regular invoice to an e-invoice, and vice versa?
If you want to change the form of invoice delivery, contact us.
4. Is it legal to issue an e-invoice?
An e-invoice is an electronic version of the invoice issued by Allegro. A file with an e-invoice has legal force equal to a paper invoice.
5. Is electronic invoicing safe?
Yes. You can access your e-invoices only after you sign in to your Allegro account. It is impossible to download your e-invoices from another source. E-invoices are shared as PDF files, and are secured in such a way that it is impossible to change invoice details. It is especially secured against:
- editing the document
- commenting
- completing or signing form fields
- combining and assembling
- copying document contents
- separating pages.
We store e-invoice files in the secure archive. Downloading the files is possible only with the use of the appropriate SSL protocol.
6. For how long are e-invoice files stored in the Invoices tab?
E-invoice files are available for 7 years in the Invoices from the date of issuing – which means they are available up to 2 years after the tax liability expiration.
7. What software do I need to properly read an e-invoice?
In order to open an e-invoice properly, you need an updated version of a free PDF reader software, for example Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader. Some web browsers can also successfully read PDF files.
8. Is issuing an e-invoice a paid service?
No. We do not charge any fees for issuing an e-invoice.
9. Is an e-invoice available faster than a regular invoice?
Yes. E-invoices and their identical copies are available immediately after they are generated by the system.
10. How do I recognize whether an invoice is an electronic or a regular one?
Every invoice is labeled as a regular or an electronic invoice.
11. I tried to open my e-invoice, but it is secured with a password. What should I do?
E-invoice files are never secured with a password. This might be an error caused by your PDF reader software. Use an updated, free PDF reader software, such as Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader.
