Do you sell clothes or footwear? Check whether the new SENT regulations apply to you
From March 17, the SENT system will also cover the transport of clothes and footwear.
What SENT is
The System for Electronic Transport Supervision monitors the road and railway transport of the so-called sensitive goods. The Polish National Revenue Administration is the authority in charge.
Learn more about the SENT requirements on the Tax and Customs Electronic Services Portal (PUESC). There, you can also find the current list of goods covered by SENT.
What will change on March 17
On that day, regulations that include the transport of clothes and footwear into the SENT system will come into force.
They will apply to:
- goods packed into a parcel that exceeds the weight limits specified in the SENT regulation, which is currently 10 kg:
- knitted clothes and accessories
- non-knitted clothes and accessories
- second-hand clothes and other second-hand goods
- goods that are a mixture of products from chapters 61,62, or 64 CN, excluding CN 6406
- footwear, excluding CN 6406 — footwear parts, if there are more than 20 units of footwear in a parcel with goods from this chapter.
What it means for you
In some cases, if you dispatch, receive, or ship clothes or footwear in numbers that exceed the quantity specified in the regulations, you will be obliged to register their transport in the PUESC system.
What if you use the One Fulfillment by Allegro service
On March 17, we will introduce changes in the delivery process of products that require registration in the SENT system to the Allegro Warehouse. You will be able to ship such goods to the Warehouse only if you report their transport as both the sender and the receiver.
It means that you will have to use the PUESC system to:
- register the shipment before the dispatch and
- confirm the receipt of the shipment in the system when it reaches the Warehouse.
If you fail to do that, you will not be able to ship the goods covered by SENT to the Allegro Warehouse.
You will find more information in the Terms & Conditions of the service, which we will update on March 17.
