Allegro Analytics — frequently asked questions
If you have a Subscription, you can use Allegro Analytics to analyze your sales and Allegro data. Check the answers to frequently asked questions about that tool.
How can Allegro Analytics help me?
Allegro Analytics is an analytical tool that will provide you with answers to the most important questions regarding sales on Allegro.
In Allegro Analytics, you can browse reports in two contexts: My Account (data on your sales) and Across Allegro (data on all the sales on Allegro). In the reports, you can:
- review the main statistics for your sales and sales within a selected category or search range
- see which offers bring you the highest profits
- compare your sales with other sellers
- explore the market and competition on Allegro, and adjust your assortment accordingly
- check detailed data regarding the sales of any offer in the last 30 days
- check which products were available on Allegro or listed on your account on any given day
- check how products and their prices have changed on Allegro or in your assortment
- analyze the 1,000 best-selling offers and products on Allegro
- see the offers that are most popular at that moment or were popular at a given time in the past
- check 1,000 products that are gaining popularity and identify the ones worth having in your offer.
How can I gain access to Allegro Analytics?
You will gain access to Allegro Analytics once you purchase the Allegro Subscription.
- With a Basic subscription, you can analyze your sales data from the last six months.
- Higher subscriptions will give you access to the entire Allegro data from the last 18 months (in the Professional Subscription) or 36 months (in the Expert Subscription).
- You can add up to 10 accounts (in the Professional Subscription) or up to 50 accounts (in the Expert subscription) — provided that you have at least the Basic Subscription for every one of them.
Check the detailed description and comparison of the subscriptions.
What data can I find in Allegro Analytics?
We currently share data on the following aspects:
- top products and offers on Allegro
- products that are gaining popularity on Allegro
- sales by category, offers, parameters, keywords in the offer title, or brands
- details of specific offers
- installment payment methods
- prices — offer price history and distribution
- sales by promotion option, offer type, and delivery option
- trends over time — sales by time and day of the week
- competition — seller ranking and sales trend comparison
- the number of views in the offers and conversion
- the buyers — the new, regular, and irregular ones
- cross-selling in categories and for products.
We are working on adding other reports.
Can I check only my own sales data in Allegro Analytics?
No — if you have the Professional or Expert Subscription, you will also see the data regarding the whole Allegro. This will let you check, for example, the sales figures for products in specific categories on Allegro within a given period.
To check the data regarding all the sellers on Allegro, select [across Allegro] tab in the reports:
How to interpret point trends?
Sometimes we cannot show numerical values due to the protection of Allegro financial data. To facilitate the analysis of results, we show data on a point scale. Thanks to trend points, you will see how the results are distributed over time — for example, if sales are growing or decreasing. We present the highest value in a given period as 100 points and the remaining values as percentages of the highest value.
Why is there no sales transaction data for individual sellers?
Allegro has a transaction data management policy, which improves data protection. According to this policy:
- due to the sensitive nature of the information, we have not been sharing detailed sales data of individual sellers
- in the reports with information on other sellers' transactions, you can see such data presented as trends and shares. You can see, for example, how the sales of a given product evolve over a specific period.
You still have free access to your sales transaction data, so you can:
- plan how to stand out from other sellers
- download your sales summary and orders export.
Additionally, in the Orders tab, you can use the orders export function to export orders to a CSV or XML file. Learn more.
Do I need to set filters for each report from scratch?
In most reports, you can save your favorite filters and set them as default ones.
- Select proper filter values.
- Click [save filter]. This way, you can quickly filter information on your reports according to your preferences multiple times.
If you want to manage filters, you can do it in the [favorite filters] menu.
If you want to go back to the initial settings, click [clear filters].
I want to check the data of several accounts at once — how to do that?
If you sell on several Allegro accounts, you can grant yourself permission to Allegro Analytics and check the data concerning all your accounts from the main account. You can do it in the Authorized users tab.
You can grant your other account access to Allegro Analytics only if both accounts — the one from which you grant the access and the one that gets it have an active Subscription.
- Go to the Authorized users tab on the account you want to grant access to.
- In the top right corner, click [add user].
- Next, click [grant permissions].
- Enter and confirm the account login or email address.
- Name the permission.
- Select the permission group you want to grant access to — in the first column select Allegro Analytics, and then Preview.
- Then, click [grant permissions].
When you grant permissions to the data of several accounts, then:
- you will see the data of all the accounts in the Summary
- in specific reports, you will be able to decide whether you want to see the data from one selected account or all of them collectively.
How to check the report results for several accounts?
You can check the report results for all the accounts you have granted permission to preview in Allegro Analytics. To do this — when generating a report — in the Account field, select All accounts.
How to grant permission for another person to preview the data in Allegro Analytics?
If you have a Subscription, you can grant account permissions to other people in the Authorized users tab. That way, you can authorize your employee to check the reports in Allegro Analytics. You can deny or restrict access at any time.
You can grant your other accounts access to Allegro Analytics only if both accounts — the one from which you grant the access and the one that gets it — have an active Subscription.
How to grant permissions to a user with an existing Allegro account
- Go to the Authorized users tab.
- In the top right corner, click [Add user].
- Click [grant permissions].
- Enter and confirm the login of the Allegro account you want to authorize — you can add any number of accounts.
- Select the permissions you want to grant and click [grant permissions].
How to grant permissions to a person with no Allegro account
- Go to the Authorized users tab.
- In the top right corner, click [Add user].
- Click [Invite to create an account].
- Enter the email address of the person you want to authorize.
- Select the permissions you want to grant and click [grant permissions]. The person whose email address you enter will receive an automatic message. In the message, we will request that this person create an Allegro account.
Learn more about the Authorized users.
How do I select the period to generate a report for?
You can select one of the suggested periods in the Period filter or select the date range manually in the Date from and Date to filters.
How do I find the data for a specific category or subcategory?
Click the + icon on the right in the Category field and narrow down the search results. First, select the main category and then — if needed — the subcategory you want.
You can also start by typing the category manually — then, we will display category hints.
How to find product-specific data?
To do that, enter the product name in the Search in title field. That way, you will find a product based on the words in the offer title.
If you want to be more precise about the product you are searching for, you can additionally select a given parameter and its value in advanced filters.
If you want to see the data of a specific offer, use the Offer Details report.
How to search by multiple parameters?
If you want to see the statistics for two different parameters at the same time (for example, the sales of a white T-shirt with different sizes), you can do that in the Sales by parameter report.
- Click More filters.
- Find the Parameter name and Parameter value fields.
- Enter the parameter name, select its value (for example, color — white), and click + in the Parameter value field or press Enter.
- Click [display report].
- In the Parameter field, select another parameter (for example, size).
In this example, you will see a sales table of white T-shirts in which every row corresponds to a different size.
If you want to check the total sales for multiple values of the same parameter (for example, white and black colors), you can do that in any report.
- Click More filters.
- Find the Parameter name and Parameter value fields.
- Enter the parameter name, select its value (for example, color — white), and click + in the Parameter value field or press Enter.
- Repeat step 3 for the next parameter value (for example, color — black).
- Click [display report].
What is the function of the Excluded phrases field?
Any words or phrases entered in the Excluded phrases field will not be taken into account in the search results. This will let you search for a particular product but not its accessories, for example.
Can I compare results for different ranges?
Yes. You will find a simple comparison — of the week or month with the previous one — in Summary.
To see comparisons for other periods or more precise data ranges (for example, a specific category), generate the report in two different report tabs.
To do it:
- Open any report (for example, Sales by offers) and select filters for the first data range.
- Click + New tab next to the first tab.
- Enter search parameters for the second tab — for example, a different date range.
- Click [display report].
- You can now compare different ranges. In the graphs, data from the second tab will be displayed in a different color. You can compare tabular data by clicking between tabs.
You can compare up to 5 different tabs in one report.
Can I export the report to Excel?
Yes. To export the report to Excel, select the data range of your choice in the filters and click [Download report]. You do not have to click [Display report] before — you can download it at once.
